Recommendations and more - We took the excursion to Playa Blanca on a Monday in July, my husband and I. It was truly spectacular. We were fortunate to have driver EDGAR. Mr. Edgar was very attentive and friendly as it was like a tour guide as he talked more about Cartagena on the Camino. We told him we wanted a coffee and kindly made a quick stop. Certainly coming to Colombia and not drinking coffee is like not coming. On the other hand, although the road to get there is a little long about an hour and there is a somewhat rocky road, the driver made it enjoyable with the talk. Arriving at the beach The driver always watched our belongings and was attentive to us. Our package included slice and was delicious. Upon arrival we were given a plate with fruit and for lunchtime we ate the traditional fried fish with coconut rice. We were able to buy alcoholic beverages, rent a jet ski and massage this at an additional cost. The truth was all wonderful. My recommendations for travelers: 1.Arrive at the assembly point at the agreed time. 2. Wear water shoes and sandals. 3. Bring towels and sun cream. 4. Carry cash for activities or drinks otherwise you can pay by card but there will be an extra charge of 15% 5. Go in a swimsuit but wear an extra change of clothes 6. Wear a hat or cap and sunglasses. 7 carry snacks or snacks 8 carry some cold water or soft drinks 9.carry a waterproof bag for your phone if you want to enter the sea with your phone 10, Finally, remember that you have the power to say no thanks to street vendors. This is a very touristy beach with no cost of access personally I recommend going on weekdays to avoid the crowds. Do not miss enjoying these wonderful turquoise waters or.

Good beach, challenging transport - Overall we had a very nice time. However, the transportation was not ideal. They changed our pickup spot the morning of but it was not that much farther of a walk. It was confusing however. Once on the bus the air conditioning barely worked and it was very hot for the 2+ hour drive. Once we got to the beach it was a very pleasant 5 minute boat ride to a relaxing and quiet beach. The lunch was tasty and fresh. Michael our guide was very nice and spoke great English.

Choose another island - Land tour with private driver, more than 2 hours of travel on a road in bad conditions. The beach had no sand and according to the driver / Guide informed that it was because of the rain of the previous days. The access to the restaurant very bad and dirty. The restaurant (Playa Surf) that was sold to us as being the best, had a horrible service, and nothing interesting to eat / drink. Neither the transparent and pleasant sea encouraged us to stay more than 1 hour in place.
