• Salinas de Galerazamba - This salt mine, located in the municipality of Galerazamba, features a pink sea caused by a natural phenomenon resulting from the high concentration of salt in the waters. When it rains, the water droplets break the salt granules, creating this unique coloration. The sea also contains halophilic microalgae that produce beta-carotene, contributing to the high salinity environment.

The pink sea is not suitable for swimming but is perfect for admiring its color, taking photos, learning about the natural phenomenon, and supporting the local communities that benefit from tourism.

It’s important to note that the pink sea is a seasonal attraction, available only during certain months of the year (April and May). Its appearance depends on the rainfall, as rain can dilute the salt and diminish the pink color.
