MAMBO BEACH - From the moment I entered super well I was greeted by my Guide and went to meet me at the hotel a very friendly girl, Valentina was very friendly and cute at all times when we arrived at mambo we were greeted by a very friendly staff and our waiter Christian excellent everything very well and I really give 5 stars for the service of the boys, but in the bar there was a super annoying xhixo who said aggressive passive comments against us and never understood super rude but the rest all very well

Excellent place - Excellent place, very beautiful beach. The staff was very attentive. I highlight the work of Juan Luis who was attentive to us throughout the stay.

Fun and relaxing beach - My family and I really enjoyed the water, however, please be aware that people selling items on the beach can be very persistent if you entertain them. The food was okay, nothing to really rave about. The walk heading down to the beach can be a bit much for those who have issues going up and down steps and the ride to and from the beach is about 1hr30min more or less depending on traffic. I suggest planning accordingly if you plan on doing something afterwards.

negative experience - My wife has arthritis and we opted for this trip as we did not need to use transportation by boat as it is difficult for her to get in and out. Miguel our guide was punctual at the meeting point and communicated very well in English. However on the trip to the beach he was vaping sitting in the front seat which was uncomfortable to us especially as the van was full with 8 passengers at the back. The beach was average and had a lot of coral rocks in the sand and we had tto be careful walking in the ocean. The staff and service as well as the food at the Mambo beach club was good. Our ride back to Cartagena was delayed buy an hour and a half and we later understood this to be due to a traffic delay with one lane blocked at one of the bridges into cartagena. There was a lack of communication from Miguel who seemed to be more interested in drinking alcohol with some of his friends at the beach rather than letting us know what the situation was regarding our return. We were concerned about safety as it was getting dark and there are no lights on the beach and especially so due to my wife's arthritis. There did not seem to be any planned contingencies by Miguel and Nexxt tours, in fact we were told the delay was due to rain which was not the case. We (all the passengers) insisted that an alternate means such as a taxi was organized which was eventually done but in a smaller vehicle which was uncomfortable especially when we spent an additional 2 hours stuck in traffic due to the lane closure. Overall the trip was no fun and Nexxt tours and Miguel could have done much better if they had planned appropriately in advance and communicated better. will not use their service again.
