Recommended - I really liked this tour, it is my first time visiting Colombia and doing this type of activities is highly recommended. The staff are very friendly and respectful. The Geussepe tour guide is very cool and keeps an eye on things that happen. The others who accompanied him too.

Super recommended - Super experience with them, the team accompanied us on the tour, with geusepe, caramel and junior, always super vigilant about us and is super organized, my mom and I would return a thousand times and is super recommended.

Been there done that - For those who like the Mood crazy party the experience will be great. For those looking for a quieter Mood, I do not recommend. Joel was a very attentive, careful and friendly guide.

Not please but Cholón is def a vibe - Long review: one if you’re 35 and under and like to party Cholón is the stop! One hr isn’t enough time. Esp the time that you arrive via this group. By the time it got popping/lit it was time to go via this booking! My over all experience was okay however my treatment was def questionable! Colorism was very much so real by this boat crew and guide. Upon entering the boat, my friends and I sat down under the blue covering for shade. The guide Alex, and another crew member told us to get up and sit in the front of the boat where there was no covering. With out hesitation we did what was told. Before taking off, I remembered that the ride was going to be rather long to be in direct sun exposure. I asked could we sit under the covering because the sun is about to be hot. Alex, then replied “well it will be shade because of the direction we are going, these people are old so they will burn.” I observed that it was only three older people and the rest were my age or younger. I stated that to him and he dismissed the concern. If one could see a picture of the seating, all the whites and fair skin people were under covering and all the blacks, darker people were in the front. Very segregated! After the first two stops to snorkel, my friends and I tried to switched seats so that we can shared the space and get some sun protection as well, and it was a huge disagreement, and confrontation over seating. We thought it would be fair that the time be shared with being protected by the sun. Alex, then said well “these people really don’t want their skin to burn and they cant be in the sun for too long, please keep calm” Again, being dismissed I was becoming frustrated because at that point it was as if, since my skin is of a darker hue I was expected or not considered as a human who skin couldn’t be damaged. As far as other treatment. My friends and I were let on and off the boat with a rather unsafe uneven ladder with a first step extremely low from the front of the boat. At one point we had to jump off. However, when it was time for the fair skinned people to get off the boat, they moved the boat for easier access, they went off from the back etc. when I asked about it, Alex stated that it was because the older people needed more help and assistance. When in reality if the older people needed assistance it would’ve been wiser to just position the boat to accommodate everyone for time and effort. Same for on the beach with the fruit: they automatically sat our chairs SMACK dead in the sun and but the other chairs in the shade! At that point I had ENOUGH! I spoke up again and demanded to be put in the shade as well! Side note: it was my BIRTHDAY! Overall, pick another listing and a longer time at Cholón if you want to having an amazing time!

Stay on a local beach instead - It's all a bit samey. There is no information given about the different islands. The boat was overcrowded. Four of us were squeezed onto a seat for three people. Really uncomfortable on every boat journey. We were taken to beaches to buy expensive drinks/food. They were interchangeable. Lunch was really late. Every one was over hungry and many people wanted the trip to be over. Regret doing it rather than finding a quite local beach. People on the boat were nice.

Look Elsewhere for a better experience - Unorganized, Unsafe, and Unfriendly pretty much sums up the trip. First, the guide, David, did not do a good job of consolidating all tour participants in a timely fashion. We were supposed to meet for the tour at 0800. Did not get moving until 0840. We were two folks short and David did not take action to determine whereabouts. I personally saw the two tour participants at the launch site but they were put on a different boat because no one was taking roll call to see where everyone was at. After we left and were in the open ocean, David became aware that the two tour participants were in another boat and an open ocean transfer of the participants was done in violation of safety rules. Talking about safety, our tour crew did not provide us life vests nor did they ask if we had any weak swimmers even though we were traveling at high speeds in initial inclement weather to the tour sites. We saw that other boats had provided their tour participants life vests so our crew took unnecessary risks with our lives. From a social point of view, David did not make an effort to introduce the tour participants nor continuously engage with them. No one knew each other and the tour group remained fragmented throughout the excursion. David remained very low energy throughout the tour except on the third island of Cholon which, in our opinion, is a dirty enclave of people partying--in a manner not friendly for families. Lot of overpriced drinks, cigar smoking, trash in the water and twerking and other types of provocative dancing taking place. Islands 1, 2, 4, and 5 are more family friendly. The snorkeling was nice. Would recommend looking at other tour operators for a better experience.
