Fantastic guide who surpassed expectations. - Juan-Fernando is an excellent, well-informed and diligent guide. He’s an academic historian who brings the streets of Cartagena to life with a deep knowledge of the city and broader Colombian/Latam history, and brings with him an iPad full of useful maps and images to illustrate along the way. It was a nice touch to finish up our tour at a fantastic bar at the end of our hotel’s street where his sister and niece work, paving the way for us to get into Cartagena’s best New Year’s Eve after-party. His English is nigh on perfect and his enthusiasm for the job is infectious. Would give 6 stars if we could.

Authentic Cartagena - The tour was excellent! Our guide Luis Fernando made a real effort and showed us parts of Cartagena we would not otherwise have seen. It was really enjoyable.

Great Region! Best Service! - The Trip/Visit to the lost Ciy was great. Also the hotels and Transfer was perfect. But the best was the service during the lockdown. This was more than magnificent. Without the assitance we would not be ableto get asave trip back!

A good look at history - Our tour guide, Inri was very good. The tour was supposed to include the gold museum which was left off, so we did not go there. If you are interested in history the walking tour is great.

My guide was delightful.... - My guide was delightful. Well informed, considerate, and warm. I enjoyed spending the afternoon with her. However, the tour turned out not to be what I expected. I would have preferred a tour that included the markets, the old wall and its history. Instead we walked the streets, visited each of the main plazas and looked at church facades. That was on me for not informing myself better. However, I asked for and was signed up for a group tour. Instead, only the guide showed up at the appointed time.. I was disappointed because I wanted a group tour to meet other travelers. So I was taken on an individual tour and charged at the individual tour price. When I inquired later I was told it was because no one else signed up for the group tour. I thought it would have been fair to charge me for the group tour I requested. The fact that they couldn't fill their group should have been on them rather than charged to me. I suppose I'm being petty, but it didn't feel right.

Good Guide; But Tour Company Has Poor Communication and Misreputation - Our tour started with a few missteps. The tour company provided our guide with one starting point, and gave us a different staring point. It was 30 minutes before our guide was able to reach us by phone and another 15 minutes before she was able to arrive at our location. Once she arrived, she provided a very good tour of Cartagena. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history and areas of the city. Again, no fault to our guide, the Gold Museum which we paid for as part of our tour, was closed due to maintenance/improvements. I wouldn't recommend this company since their communication is very spotty. Our guide was very good.

Not worth the money. - I understand the Mother Nature has her own agenda, but when the operator promises that compensation will be made if the tour is impacted and then doesn't follow thru, it's a disappointment!
