Must do cooking class and cultural experience in Casablanca - I have done food tours in multiple countries before and this cooking class and experience blew those tours away. This is a unique class versus another listed on Viator in that you learn how to cook multiple dishes, not just one, which I loved. I took the advice of another review and asked Wissal to help coordinate my transport. She arranged Abdul, a taxi driver, to pick me up directly from my hotel. I knew the taxi cost up front, Abdul was very nice, spoke great english, and punctual picking me up and dropping me back off. Wissal contacted me a day or so before and asked me what I wanted to learn to cook. She customized my cooking to class to what I told her! It was great learning about Wissal, her family, experience growing up in Morocco, and of course, the local cuisine. I tried Moroccan coffee, pastries, and learned how to make a cucumber/tomato salad, hot salad, chicken and a separate vegetable tagine, mint tea and virgin mojito. I also tried on a beautiful traditional dress while Wissal explained when attire like that was typically worn. Wissal is a great teacher and it was a true pleasure getting to know her and the local food/culture. One of my top favorite experiences from my Morocco trip & I highly recommend!

Perfect Moroccan Food experience for this Solo Traveler! - AMAZING! One word says it all. I am a solo traveler that doesn't generally immerse myself in the dishes of the countries that I visit, without some prompting. So I tend to take food tours and cooking classes. Wissal took care of my immersion on her own with an elaborate feast so large that i couldn't finish everything! Wissal and her mother welcomed me into their home and gave me an experience that I will not soon forget. Starting with coffee in their living room and then the creation of the meal (as you can see from the picture looks as great as it tasted ) and then having some cookies as well. If you want to get to know the true Moroccan culture, along with some amazing food, I would 100% recommend this experience. You can thank me when you're done.

Fun and fabulous culinary tour! - We had an absolutely amazing experience that began well before we arrived in Morocco, and our expectations continued to be exceeded the day of the excursion!! Our host, Wissal, showed us how to make a truly delicious meal catered to our unique dietary needs, and along the way shared her beautiful culture with us. It was so much fun cooking with my husband and son! When people asked about our trip to Morocco, each time we started by sharing this fabulous food experience with everyone! It was one of our best memories of Morocco!

Unique Cultural Immersion Experience - This experience was the highlight of our trip. Wissal assisted us by asking if we needed assistance getting to her home and ensuring we had a cab from the cruise terminal. (We had to walk quite a distance to the end of the cruise terminal) When we got to her home we had a wonderful experience trying Arabic coffee and guessing all the spices that were in it. We got to meet her family and learned about her culture. Se and her mother also made desserts (OMG) to go with the tea we had. She used her mothers recipes and had us in the kitchen getting involved in creating the lunch. We made 4 dishes total and they were all delicious. We discussed how her mother shops for the meals and how much they both enjoy this small business that have together. She called prior to our visit to discuss any food allergies or preferences we may have. We cooked, talked and ate for the entire time we were there. We got an unforgettable unique experience.

Delicious and fun. - We spent a wonderful afternoon with WiSsaL and her mom cooking, eating, trying on clothes and talking talking talking. The food was delicious and we are excited to recreate our meal when we get back home. I can’t recommend her class enough. Do it! You won’t regret it.

20/10 experience, loved every moment. Amazing hosts, delicious food, great clothing and experience, just incredible - Immediately you are greeted by the nicest host, and sit down for incredible spiced coffee. The special thing is nothing feels rushed, just calm and fun. You get a sense of Moroccan lifestyle and food. All the food was incredible, Especially the tagine, pancakes, warm salad and pistachio cookies, which were my favorites. The clothes are so so beautiful as well as the dining set up. Wissal’s mother is working behind the scenes, doing an amazing job and made what might be the best pancakes I’ve ever had. 20/10 experience, I loved every moment and totally recommend doing this if you are in Casablanca.

The Most Incredible Host, Food, and Experience- Worth the cost and MORE - TL;DR: Book this experience. You will not regret it. Dietary restrictions and transportation are accommodated in an excellent way, and the host is beyond amazing. The details: I booked this activity on a bit of a whim. My boyfriend and I only had 2 days in Morocco, and I saw all the other reviews for this activity and thought "why not? Could be cool." I am SO glad that I did. We booked the lunch experience and were told “don’t eat breakfast- come hungry” and we were so glad we listened because by the end we couldn’t eat another bite if we tried. Wissal is an amazing person, woman, and host. When I tell you that I will be doing my best to immediately recreate the Chicken Tagine when I get home, I mean IMMEDIATELY (for real, it was so good). The home and kitchen are spotless, and the entire family is incredibly welcoming and kind. Wissal especially is an excellent conversationalist (we spoke in English) and she made the 4 hour experience fly by! She thoughtfully answered any questions we had about the culture, what life is like in Casablanca, and why she started this business. Additionally, Wissal made logistics extremely easy. She arranged a taxi for us that felt safe, was a good cost, arrived on time, and made it so that we didn't need to worry about getting to or from her family home. The day before our reservation, Wissal reached out via WhatsApp to ask about allergies, dietary restrictions, etc. and was extremely accommodating! We never felt pressured to try anything that we didn’t want to, and being foreigners we’re very cautious about the water everywhere. She made sure to change anything on the menu that we were worried about. The outfits that are a part of this experience were extra special to try on, as they hold meaning to her and her family. At the end of our time together, it was made evident to us that Wissal genuinely tries to make every experience better than the last because she takes the time to ask for feedback and truly takes it into account to improve her business and her customers’ experience. Over all, in the 2 days we spent in Morocco, this was by far the best thing we did and if I ever return I will absolutely do it again- it’s not a “one and done” experience. I walked away feeling like I made a new friend, which is an incredible thing to be able to say after only 4 hours together. Book this experience, support this business, eat this amazing food, and I promise you won’t regret it.

An unforgettable Moroccan culinary experience with Wissal! 🇲🇦🔥 - We had an absolutely magical experience with Wissal to celebrate my wife's birthday, and everything was perfect, from start to finish! Wissal welcomed us like kings and offered us a real trip to the heart of Moroccan culture. We cooked as a couple a delicious chicken tagine and a tasty couscous, while learning its culinary secrets passed down with passion and patience. The highlight of the show? Enjoy our meal accompanied by a perfectly brewed green tea, accompanied by authentic Moroccan cakes and handmade msemen by Wissal. My wife loved this activity, so much so that it was an experience she would do a thousand times with the same enthusiasm! The icing on the cake: trying on traditional Moroccan clothing has added an even more authentic and playful touch. Wissal is an exceptional, caring and warm host, who has turned this workshop into an unforgettable memory. To do, redo, and redo without hesitation! We learned so much not only the foods of Morocco, but also the culture. Wissal was not only friendly, professional but a gracious host as well.
