Casablanca - Rabat - Chefchaouen
Hassan Tower - After breakfast, we head to Rabat, the current capital of Morocco and one of its imperial cities. You will visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of Oudaya. After some free time for lunch, we continue north through Ouazzane to reach the Blue City of Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains.
Chefchaouen Medina - Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, known as the “Blue City,” you will explore its narrow streets, blue-painted buildings, and vibrant markets. Founded in the 15th century as a fortress by Moorish exiles from Spain, Chefchaouen has evolved into a cultural hub, attracting Berbers, Arabs, and Jewish communities. Visit the picturesque Ras El-Ma waterfall, where locals gather to do laundry, and hike to the Spanish Mosque for a panoramic sunset view of the city.
Chefchaouen - The Roman ruins Volubilis - Fes
Conservation du site Archéologique de volubilis - Enjoy a free morning to further explore the blue alleys of Chefchaouen and take photos. We then cross the Rif Mountains to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved mosaics, pillars, and archways. After exploring this archaeological site, we drive to Fes for a two-night stay.

Medina of Fez - Our tour begins with a visit to the Royal Palace’s golden gate, followed by the Jewish quarter, or “the Mellah.” We then drive to an ancient fortress for a panoramic view of the Medina and the city of Fes. Next, we visit the well-preserved medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will see the blue gate, Bab Boujloud, the main entrance to the old Medina, and visit The Medrassa Bouanania to learn about old Islamic school architecture. Discover the Najjarine Museum, dedicated to traditional Moroccan arts and crafts, particularly woodworking and carpentry. Visit the largest tanneries in Africa, where locals handcraft leather, and finally, the Qaraouyine Mosque and University, the world’s oldest university. The afternoon is free for you to explore.
Fes - The Switzerland of Morocco - Cedar Forest - Ziz Valley - Merzouga
Azrou Cedar Forest - After breakfast, we drive south through Imouzzer to visit Ifrane, one of the world’s cleanest cities, known for its low temperatures, snow, and alpine-style architecture, earning it the nickname “Switzerland of Morocco.” We then continue to the cedar forest of Azrou, home to Barbary monkeys. Feel free to feed them while wandering through the forest.
Errachidia - We continue driving through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing Midelt, where we will have free time for lunch. Before reaching Merzouga, we stop for a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley, an oasis of palm trees.
Erg Chebbi - In the afternoon, we arrive at the Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi. You will switch from car to camel and cross the golden sand dunes towards your camp. Your camel guide will stop at a prime location to enjoy one of the best sunsets of your life. Finally, you will reach the desert camp, a blend of traditional nomadic tents and luxury hotel amenities. After a traditional dinner, enjoy Berber drum music and dancing around the campfire under a starry sky.
4x4 Tour of the Sahara Desert
Erg Chebbi - Wake up early to relish the desert sunrise. After breakfast at your camp, start a 4x4 tour of the Merzouga region. We begin by driving off-road to visit an ancient eyeliner mine and an old French village that used to be a military base.
Khamlia Gnawa Music - Next, visit the nomads in their handmade woven tents, enjoy Berber tea, and learn about their daily life. Then, head to Khamlia village, inhabited by people from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Enjoy their traditional Gnaoua music and dance performances. Lunch will be at a local restaurant in the village.
Merzouga - Afterward, drive back to Merzouga to your Riad. The afternoon is free, with recommended activities like ATV quad or buggy rides in the sand dunes.
Merzouga - Rissani Souk - Todra Gorges - Dades valley
Souqs of Rissani - Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise from a high dune near your camp. After breakfast, drive a few miles to Rissani, the capital of Tafilalet, to explore one of the oldest traditional souks. Market days are Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, attracting traders and buyers from nearby villages and towns. The Rissani Market offers a unique opportunity to experience a traditional Moroccan souk and witness the lively exchange of goods and cultural interactions.
Gargantas del Todra - Pass by Erfoud, a city known for dates and fossils. After lunch, visit a cooperative of Berber clothes, where you can dress in traditional attire and take photos for free. They may also offer Moroccan Henna for free. Next, visit the impressive Todra Gorge, a high canyon with cliffs 4 meters high and 10 meters wide. Take a walk inside these towering cliffs.
Dades Gorges - Continue to Dades Valley, a stunning natural attraction in the High Atlas Mountains. Pass by rock formations known as “finger monkeys” before reaching your hotel. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and a restful evening in the tranquil valley.
Dades valley - Ouarzazate - Ksar Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
Ouarzazate - Depart from Dades and head to Kalaat Magouna, known for its rose production. Stop at a local cooperative to learn about the process. Continue to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco,” known for its film studios and beautiful landscapes. Explore the Kasbah Taourirt, built in the 19th century by the influential Glaoui family during the French colonial era. Visit Atlas Studios, one of the world’s largest film studios, offering diverse sets and backdrops.
Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou - Drive to Ait Ben Haddou to visit its famous and oldest kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. Many famous films, including Gladiator and The Mummy, were shot here. Enjoy some free time for lunch.
Marrakech - Continue the trip across the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi N’tichka, the highest road pass in Morocco at 2260 meters above sea level, offering impressive views of valleys, mountains, and Berber villages. Arrive in Marrakech for a two-night stay.

Koutoubia Mosque - The Koutoubia Mosque, also spelled Kutubiyya Mosque, is a prominent historical and architectural landmark in Marrakech. Built during the Almohad rule in the 12th and 13th centuries, it is a masterpiece of Islamic architecture. The mosque’s most distinctive feature is its 77-meter-high minaret. Construction began in the 12th century under Almohad Caliph Yaqub al-Mansur and was completed in 1199. The name “Koutoubia” comes from the Arabic word for books, “Koutoub,” due to the many booksellers’ stalls nearby.
Bahia Palace - Bahia Palace, or Palais Bahia, is a historical palace in Marrakech, built in the late 19th century during the reign of Grand Vizier Si Moussa. Intended as his residence and for official council meetings, the palace was later expanded by his son, Bou Ahmed, who added gardens and more living quarters.
Saadian Tombs - The Saadian Tombs, dating back to the 16th century, are a historic site in Marrakech. Rediscovered in 1917 after being sealed for centuries, they are one of the city’s most important historical and architectural landmarks. Built during the Saadian dynasty’s rule from 1554 to 1659, the tombs were constructed as the final resting place for Saadian royal family members.
Jemaa el-Fnaa - Jemaa el-Fnaa is a large public square in Marrakech, designated a UNESCO Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2001. With a rich history dating back centuries, it was originally a meeting place for traders and locals and has evolved into a cultural hub. The square is a vibrant gathering place where locals and tourists experience lively street performances and various forms of entertainment.
