Casablanca - Rabat - Chefchaouen
Rabat - After breakfast, the journey begins to Rabat to explore the Oudaya Kasbah, a 17th-century coastal fortress. The tour also includes a visit to the Hassan Tower, a historic mosque from the 12th century. If time permits, additional sites such as the Chellah necropolis and the Royal Palace will be explored.
Chefchaouen - The journey continues to the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen, passing through scenic landscapes and traditional Berber villages. A stop for lunch is planned before arriving in Chefchaouen. Once settled into the hotel, guests can explore the charm of this unique city and enjoy a magical evening in its tranquil atmosphere.
Chefchaouen- Volubilis- Meknes - Fez
Volubilis - After breakfast, the tour heads to Fez, with a stop at the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guests can explore the stunning mosaics and rich history that offer a captivating glimpse into Morocco’s Roman past.
Meknes - The next stop is Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, where landmarks such as the grand Bab Al-Mansour gate and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail will be explored. The journey then continues to Fez, where guests will spend the night in a charming local riad.
Guided Tour of Fez
Fes el-Bali - After breakfast, a local guide will meet guests to begin the tour of Fez. The tour starts with the outer parts of the old Medina, visiting the Royal Palace Gate and the 14th-century Jewish Quarter, “Mellah.” A stop at a ceramics cooperative offers a chance to witness traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. Key cultural and historical sites inside the Medina, including Bou Inania Medersa, the Blue Gate, Karaouiyine Mosque, the Big Chouara Tanneries, Medersa Seffarin, Attarin Medersa, and Neijarin Fountain, will be explored. In the afternoon, a visit to the tombs of the Merenids offers a stunning panoramic view of the Medina. Overnight in a charming riad.
Fez - Ifrane- Azrou - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Desert
Ifrane - Guests will be picked up at 8 AM from their Riad and head to Ifrane, often referred to as the “Moroccan Switzerland” due to its distinctly European style. A stop to explore this charming city, known for its clean streets, alpine architecture, and lush parks, is included.
Azrou - The route crosses the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, where Barbary macaques can often be spotted, while enjoying the contrasting landscapes.
Merzouga Desert - Upon arrival in Merzouga, the gateway to the stunning Sahara Desert, guests will embark on a serene camel ride across the towering dunes. They will reach the heart of the desert, where an authentic night in traditional nomadic tents awaits, immersing them in the rich Berber culture. As night falls, a delicious dinner around a warm campfire, accompanied by the enchanting rhythms of Berber music, will be enjoyed.
Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Dades Gorges
Merzouga Desert - Guests will wake up early to witness the sunrise over the desert dunes, a magical experience. After breakfast at the camp, a camel ride back to the lodge where they’ll meet their driver is planned.
Todgha Gorge - The next stop is the breathtaking Todra Gorges, known for its towering canyons. A walk through the gorges, soaking in the stunning scenery and dramatic rock formations, is included.
Boumalne Dades - The journey continues through picturesque Berber villages and lush palm groves, with a stop at a local restaurant for lunch. As the journey progresses, the administrative city of Boumalen is passed before arriving at the stunning Dades Gorges. Here, guests will check into a charming hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Dades Gorges- Valley of Roses - Ait Ben Haddou- Marrakech
El Kelaa M’gouna - After breakfast, the drive continues through Kelaa Mgouna, known as the Valley of Roses, where fragrant roses bloom in abundance from April to May. This is the perfect opportunity to purchase a bouquet of these beautiful flowers.
Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou is a stunning fortified city in the High Atlas region of Morocco, renowned for its clay architecture and historical charm. This UNESCO World Heritage Site has served as a picturesque backdrop for numerous films and television series, including “Gladiator” and “Game of Thrones.” Its rich cultural heritage and striking landscapes make it a must-visit destination.
Marrakech - As the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass is traversed again, the delicious flavors of traditional Moroccan cuisine found in the Atlas Mountains will be savored. Arriving in Marrakech by late afternoon or early evening, guests will spend the night in a charming riad nestled in the vibrant Medina, immersing themselves in the city’s enchanting atmosphere.
