Worth the money - Alejandra at Villard was delightful. Knowledgeable not only about winemaking but the history of wine in Chile The grounds at Casas del Bosque are exquisite. Jorge, our guide, is a great wealth of information on Chile.

Private wine tour - Our guide and driver were beyond expectations, guide spoke excellent English the three wineries we attended were different from each other and would rival the wineries in Napa California as far as setting, wine quality and in house tour guides. I would highly recommend this company they could not have made this day any more enjoyable.

Amazing Chilean Tour Guide - We discovered Claudio in 2015 and have been coming back to him since then. His vast knowledge of the Chilean region. the history, unique wineries, and overall amazing personality make him one of the top tour guides in all of Chile. We recommend him to all of our friends that are travelling to Chile.

Fun day visiting Casablanca wineries - Visited three wineries in Casablanca, the highlight of which was definitely Bodegas RE, which compared to a nice vineyard in Napa. The other two wineries visited (Veramonte and Casas del Bosque) were fine, but pours were skimpy in comparison to what we're used to at tastings. Transportation was convenient and everybody was very friendly. Only complaint is that driver arrived 45 minutes early for our hotel pick-up and told us we were late, did not acknowledge that the mistake was on his company's end despite us having the correct pickup time clearly stated on our ticket. It was a fun day overall though that I would recommend.

Stay away - local tour operator is not reputable! - This tour was very disappointing. To begin, the tour operator contacted me the day prior to our booking and cancelled - saying the wineries would be closed. They offered me an opportunity to rebook for another day and we did, but this created a "wasted day" on our trip. While rebooking, I took the opportunity to talk some details with the tour operator and asked several questions about the wines we would try - they assured me that we could try any wines that we wanted, but some may have an additional cost. Here are the issues we faced on the day of the tour; arrived at the first location and the person at the winery refused to open any wines that they had not already selected and actually said "those other wines are only for people that know them". The guide that was with us was embarrassed and apologized profusely to us. I'm a wine collector and I was looking forward to trying a few new wines that I wasn't familiar with. Then we arrived at Casa Del Bosque - a beautiful winery and the tour guide walked us to the restaurant and sat us down and said "lunch is included, I'm very sorry for the issues". I inquired and said "are you sure" and he assured us that it was included. When the waiter came I asked him to just serve us what was included, he asked if we wanted him to select and we agreed. During lunch our tour guide came to check on us and I asked him how to settle the bill and he said he was taking care of it. When lunch was over, I left a generous tip on the table and we walked to meet the tour guide - the waiter actually chased us and loudly confronted me about not paying. While the waiter and the manager literally stood over us, the tour guide apologized and said he needed to make a call. He came back and said he totally misunderstood, lunch was not included and apologized for taking us to such an expensive location. What a brutal and embarrassing situation, especially after the first winery. The tour guide took complete responsibility and was fantastic under the circumstances. He promised that this would get resolved and that their office would call me - this is not how they do business. Today, two full months later I got an email from Viator suggesting that I should have read the fine print more closely, not listed to the tour guide or tour operator and offered $25 towards our next tour. Um, this was a $600 tour for 4 people and a $200 lunch. At the very least, I would have hoped for an apology and owning up the issues as it really wasn't about the money for me. Needless to say - I would suggest steering clear of this tour and this tour operator.
