Great tour of the Parma region! - We really enjoyed this interesting and beautiful tour around the Modena countryside. Unfortunately it was raining pretty hard the day we went, but our guide Alice couldn’t have been more flexible and accommodating. She suggested we do it by car instead and planned a custom experience for my husband and I, She was an excellent guide…super friendly and very knowledgeable about the process of making cheese/balsamic and the history/culture of the area. Plus the tastings were fantastic.
Highly recommend!

Excellent day biking in the countryside and seeing Parmigiano and balsamico production - Wonderful bike ride through beautiful countryside with our friendly guide Simone. We visited a Parmigiano Reggiano factory and were able to see all the steps of production and aging, and then taste different ages of cheese. We then biked more and visited a wonderful couple who make traditional balsamico for the consortium as well as for themselves. We received good explanations about how the balsamico is made, and we were able to taste different ones up to 40 years old. It was a great experience.

Don’t think - Just do it - Rolling down the beautiful hills overseeing the picturesque landscape with the breeze in the face was fantastic.
Of course the Balsamic Vinegar tour was exceptional- learning about the history and how it is part of family tradition in the region and the care and decades that it takes to make a good quality natural vinegar.
And wonderful guides who made us feel very comfortable.

Phenomenal Experience! - Amazing experience! I (40ish) went with My teenage son and father (70+) and it was one of the most memorable parts of our trip in Italy. The scenery is amazing and the tour has a very private feel. It exceeded my expectations.
Here are some details that might help:
Difficulty: low/moderate. I exercise regularly, but had not been on a bike in years. The ride was somewhat strenuous when climbing the hills, but overall not bad with the Ebike assist. My father rides an Ebike regularly and found it moderately difficult.
Transportation: We did not rent a car, so we asked to be picked up from our hotel. It did cost extra, but was very reasonable, either the same or less than the cost of a taxi.
Guides: Did an outstanding job! They lead and tail during the ride to help ensure safety during the ride (some of it is on streets). They were patient, helped to carry water and the things we purchased, and offered to take pictures for us. They were very knowledgeable and were excellent English speakers (we speak no Italian)
Overall, this was a phenomenal experience and I would not hesitate to do it again.
Thank you!!

Highly recommend! Magic! - After expert gravel riding in Tuscany we struggled to locate high end road and gravel bikes plus mountain bikes in the Emilia Romana region and were relieved to locate Mud & Snow, Alice and her brother Francesco.
We did an incredible bike ride to Montalbano.
In addition, on a separate half day, Alice arranged a fantastic tour of one of the top cheese makers in the region. Be sure to start there in the morning, or you will miss the production of the days milk into cheese. Next we went to the family maker of the famous balsamic vinegar, where we had an amazing spread of snacks to sample the product. Of course we bought a bottle of each the blend and special juniper barrel vintage 25 year old (!) - delicious result.
Finally, we visited a small family winery that produces the regions famous Lambrusco. Five different types, served with charcuterie. Again all was very delicious.
Alice Drove us on our tour and gave us many additional intimate insights of the region along the way. She is expert in languages and was a pleasure to converse with, being in direct contact with us via WhatsApp as well. Highly recommend! Magic!

Highly recommend! Fun, safe and educational with family! - We highly recommend tour with Alice!! We’re a family of 5 with three teenage girls. Alice and Matteo were excellent duo: Alice was the tour guide, sharing her knowledges and educating us. Matteo was a mountain cyclist, responsible for leading the ride on the road. The two together is a great combination. My husband and I are cyclist/tri-athletes and are aware of how scary it might be taking teenagers on a cycling trip on an unfamiliar area. We always take a bike tour when visiting a new city (more than ten to date in various continents); this was one of the very few that we felt most relaxed and comfortable during the bike tour. Alice was very knowledgeable about the making of the cheese and the Balsamic vinegar. The cheese master and the vinegar master were both family friends, who also made us felt like family during the visit. Alice also help made a lunch reservation for us at the end of the tour, which allowed us to enjoy local cuisine. The driver she arranged for the pick-up was also very professional.

Parmesan and Balsamic bike tour - I had the most amazing time on this e-bike tour with Alice and her brother Francisco! High-quality experience from start to finish, including a smooth pick up and drop off before and after the tour. Alice and Francisco made sure we felt comfortable on our bikes, and were excellent guides leading us on bikes around Castelvetro di Modena. Alice is also very knowledgeable about the Parmesan and balsamic vinegar process. We got to see Parmesan cheese being produced and learn about the various stages in the process, and ultimately got to eat the incredible cheese! Similarly, we visited a local balsamic vinegar producer and learned all about this process from Alice and the producer and his wife. And even after the tour ended, Alice continued to be extremely helpful, providing recommendations for the rest of our day that we concluded in Bologna. Had the most amazing time on this bike tour, and would absolutely recommend to anyone.

A unique way to experience the most beautiful part of Tuscany - My friend and I got a wonderful private tour with two great guides. They knew all the best paths with amazing views and the weather was perfect in mid-late May such that the views went for miles. The cheese factory was very interesting and each step of the process was explained. The balsamic vinegar part was good too; the samples were very small but the charming building and vinegar-maker made that part stand out too. The start and end point in Castelvetro is stunning, and in our case, the hosts provided direct transport to and from Modena for an extra 50 euros, which really simplified the trip. NOTE: These bikes are NOT fully electric with a throttle you can press to go forward. Instead, you need to peddle and an electric motor assists when necessary. This made all the hills very easy and it was not that strenuous despite the length, but be aware that you will be peddling yourself the entire ride.

Amazing experience - Amazing experience touring a parmigiano reggiano facility and balsamic vinegar acetaia, with tasting sessions included. The bike ride along the countryside was a highlight for us. Our tour guides Alice and Matteo did a fantastic job showing us around! Would highly recommend this tour.
