The highlight of our Italian vacation - My wife and I went with 2 other couples, and this was an amazing experience. We are all really into food and enjoy making our own pizzas and pasta as well as other Italian-inspired dishes, but we still learned a lot from this tour. We found the cheese-and vinegar-making fascinating, and the tastings gave us all a new appreciation for the time and process necessary for this level of quality. But the pasta making (and eating!) was the real star. Enrico is an excellent instructor, and Nonna's fritatta and ragu with our tagliatelle is exactly what we hoped to eat at such a traditional Italian-family meal. The wine was delicious, the village was remarkable, and the company was excellent. It was a fabulously authentic Italian experience. Aly is an amazing guide. She is a joy to be with, and she provided so much interesting insight. Her enthusiasm is infectious, and she made the whole tour fun and fascinating. As Americans, we struggle a bit with the Italian language, but Aly's English is perfetto. We thoroughly enjoyed this excursion, even moreso than many of the other sights and experiences in and around Bologna and Modena. We all highly recommend Aly and this excursion.
