Tyneham - This abandoned English village is steeped in history, after it was used in World War 2 to prepare US, Canadian and UK troops for D-Day. All the villages had just 4 weeks to leave their homes, never to return.
Now we see a beautiful, yet eerie village taken over by the forest and mother nature.
Visit the 700 year old church and Victorian school and marvel at the history. -
Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door - Probably one of the most beautiful, old and iconic English villages by the sea. The beach is even more incredible where the last ice age carved out a horseshoe shaped bay into the Jurassic cliffs.
Used for piracy and smuggling in the past, now fisherman sail these waters providing excellent fish and lobster for the visitors -
Steeple - Visit the 700 year old church, built by George Washington’s ancestors.
In the church’s arch, sport the world’s oldest Washington coat of arms (2 stars and 3 stripes) and precursor to the Stars & Stripes flag!
We will head high above Creech Grange, once home to George Washington’s ancestors, heading off-road once again -
South West Coast Path - Heaven’s Gate at Kimmeridge Bay - Probably the most beautiful viewing location in the whole of Dorset, Heaven’s Gate sits high above Kimmeridge Bay.
Only reachable with our safari truck, we head off road and along the ridge with breath taking views.
We stop for refreshments and Helen’s famous homemade cakes!
Plus an option for a short walk to the highest point in the Isle of Purbeck which is the site of a bronze age burial mound, where on a very clear day you can see across the see to the cliffs in Normandy, France some 75 miles to the south! - Bankes Arms Hotel - Option to stop for lunch, where we will organise either a lovely English pub or English tearoom. Your choice.

We operate a very simple pick up process in Portland, close to your cruise ship.
Travelling along country roads, off-road byways and permitted landowners farm tracks, this amazing safari heads high above Corfe Castle, then on to Heaven’s Gate with the most spectacular views of Poole Harbour in the East and Portland to the West, then through the Lulworth Ranges, lost village of Tyneham and the famous Durdle Door.
This is a private tour, so we can bespoke the trip just for you. So if you wish to travel to Stonehenge or somewhere else, we can of course design the tour to suit your wishes. Note Stonehenge is 90+ minutes each way, so other stopping points would be lost if you wanted to include this.
