Nice and friendly local experience - Me and kids (8 and 10 yo) sampled fruits, coconuts, juices and sweets. Kids tried all of the things and liked some :-) they even “ventured” and tried some savoury dishes as well ! George , our guide , was very protective, accommodating , caring and tried to make this an enjoyable experience! We go to this market every year and it’s always a very nice experience!

Castries, Saint Lucia Food/History Tour - George, our tour guide from City Walkers, was exceptional in the way that he informed us of the history of Saint Lucia and Castries specifically. His in-depth knowledge and energy was on full display as he navigated us towards the major historical sights. Not only did we see Castries' beautiful landmarks, but he took us on a food adventure which saw us partaking in a number of local delicacies and exotic fruits. Every food request that we made he did his best to accommodate. Would highly recommend George for your next tour in Castries

Great Tour - This was a great tour to actually learn about what goes on in the island, to learn about authentic St. Lucian food and learn about fruits that aren't available or common in the US, and to learn about arts and crafts that are common in St. Lucia. I would recommend this tour for anyone staying in a resort since you can't get this experience staying in a resort.

Extremely pleased with this tour (Combination Tour) - Experienced tour guide, Ricardo, gave us interesting & fun facts about Castries and St Lucia. Enjoyed the history part, especially through the pictures and murals around. Liked walking through the parks amongst the greenery and flowers. Recommended that we take a five sitting on the shaded park benches as it was hot. Food and market tour was lovely and tasty especially the coconut water. We purchased souvenirs and other items. Highly recommend this combination tour as a glimpse into St Lucia's past and where there are heading. Excellent tour guide helped us with transportation back to our hotel.

Rich History Shared - This tour was breathtaking. I had a very energetic and knowledgeable tour guide.George (not sure if name spelt correctly) always ensured that I was okay and walked at my pace.He went above and beyond by taking me to a place that I really wanted to see, although it was not part of the tour. Thanks so much City Walkers for a wonderful experience.Castries history is really rich.Looking forward to doing this again when I return next time with friends.

Must do tour of local history. - This tour was excellent. Schelly our guide was a fountain of knowledge and was attentive of your needs. You could debate points of view with her and she had obviously studied her Carribbean history. Food was authentic and amazingly tasty. She showed us food we had never seen and knew all their medicinal properties. Well done and would recommend.

Disappointing - It was just my husband and me on this tour with Georgie as our tour guide. Georgie was pleasant, charming, and eager to please. The problem is that the town has been destroyed by fire twice in recent history, and there is not much to see. The tour lasted less than an hour, covered several blocks and included the church all of which can be easily accomplished without a guide.

Unremarkable tour - My driver, Joseph, was excellent! He picked me up on time, got me back in time, was very personable and knowledgeable about the island. I wish he had been my guide. My guide, George, was not very knowledgeable, especially about Derek Walcott. It seemed like he wanted you to be finished quickly because he was hesitant about taking me to the Anglican Church and kept asking me if I wasn’t tired. I wasn’t tired at all and I would have liked to have seen more. It was a very short tour and I didn’t learn anything.

OK?! - Walking around Castries was interesting to my self as my grandfather was born there and to be able to walk in his footsteps was special. However the guide was lovely but prefered to talk more about her views on St Lucia, which was a little offputting.

Don't bother - We did the history and food tour. Castries has very little visible history left after disastrous fires. Anything that is included on the tour is completely accessible without a guide and the information is basic and easily googled. Some information is actually incorrect, eg, The Nobel Prize is not awarded by the Queen. The day we did our tour was extremely hot, the guide made no attempt to explain things in shady areas but talked as we walked along busy roads. He seemed unaware that the person walking behind could not hear what he was saying.
