Awesome food, fun tour! - My wife and I did the Taste of St. Lucia food tour. We were able to sample many local delicacies. We had a great time walking around downtown Castries and eating so much delicious food! If you get George as your guide, then you are really in for a treat! He is very knowledgeable of the local foods, he did a great job of explaining each dish, and he was patient while I asked lots of tourist questions. Not only did we sample many foods, most of them I could not pronounce correctly, but we also were able to try fresh coconut milk and coconut meat. It was interesting, to say the least, for a guy from the Midwest. If you get a chance to do the Food Tour, then go do it. You will not be disappointed! Five stars for the tour and ten stars for George!

Just the best excursion!! - This was the highlight of our trip so far. Everyone has to do this in St Lucia - a true Taste of St Lucian culture. George was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. A true gentleman, with great knowledge and humour - and I think everyone in Castries knows him!! Don’t miss it!!

Castries market tour w/ a delicious lunch! - Vern was amazing. She was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. My group of seven enjoyed the tour. So glad we did it with someone who knows the about the rich history of St Lucia and was able to share that in a way that kept us asking for more.

An Adventure of All Senses - Our guide Schelly was very knowledgeable and helpful. She was outstanding and a pleasure to spend time with. She told us the history of the city, introduced us to new tastes, and gave us a perspective of the culture of local St. Lucians.

Simple great tour! - Richardo met us right on time he talked about the history of the bay and the market, we sampled the seasonal fruit, and juices and sat down for a fantastic lunch! They left us with juice to take with us and few gifts as well!

Great way to see and taste the real St Lucia - We did this on a recent trip and really enjoyed it. This is a delicious way to see a “more local” side of St Lucia. We walked through the market stopping at a number of stalls and sampling some of the freshest fruits of the island. The last stop was at a small restaurant stall for lunch. This was not your average tourist (cruise ship) food tour, which was definitely the way we preferred it. Ricardo our guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He understood that not everyone likes everything but encouraged us to try everything. One less adventurous person in our group came away loving (one type) of mango, which she would never eat before. The tour was a little over an hour but we tried so many different things. I think there is so much to do on St Lucia, that this might not be the best for one day cruise passengers (unless this is your thing), but for anyone spending more time on the island should see and experience the real flavors of the island.

The Real St. Lucia - What a great tour, food market was amazing as was our tour guide (Shelly?). If you want to see the real St. Lucia and fry some the the local foods, this is a must do. Transport from our resort was a mess because of the resort, thank you to our driver for sticking with us and getting us to and from the tour.

Food tour! - This tour was awesome!! Started out with a short historical walk through Castries with our guide Ricardo. It was very informative and entertaining. We saw a Catholic Church that was stunning with all of its murals. The food tasting was amazing. Started with a tour of the open local market. We got to sample about 6 different kinds of local juices, some fruit, etc. We tasted some fresh coconut water and pulp. Had a delicious local soup and a complete St Lucian lunch after that. Finished off with a little dessert treat. There was a large local craft market there as well. We had a great time on this tour.

Must be able to walk to enjoy. - Our tour guide, Ricardo, met us at the cruise terminal and walked us to the starting point of the tour. We walked around town while he pointed out key areas of interest and provided educational historical background. The tour ended at the local market where we sampled various tropical fruits and freshly squeezed tropical fruit juice. After the fruit and juice sampling, we stopped at a stand and each got a big sampler plate of locals' daily staples. It was very interesting and we definitely would never had the opportunity if it wasn't for this tour.
