The Greatest Vacation - Today, my friend and I embarked on an exhilarating tour of Saint Lucia. As Saint Lucians and Dominicans, we initially approached the tour options with skepticism. However, we were pleasantly surprised by Island Experience Tours, which offered a comprehensive 6-8 hour itinerary. Our tour guide, Michelle, was an exceptional individual. Not only was knowledgeable and humorous, but also incredibly welcoming and kind. We were promptly picked up from our designated location and commenced our journey from Castries. Our itinerary featured numerous stops, each offering unique experiences. Our first stop was Castries, where we captured captivating photographs from one of the numerous lookout points perched atop a hill, overlooking the city. Next, we visited Rosseau, where we immersed ourselves in the vibrant local market, encountering roadside vendors selling an array of fresh produce, spices, rum, T-shirts, and handmade crafts. We sampled the local rum, including plantain chips seasoned with local sauces, banana ketchup, and BBQ sauce. While learning about the distinction between green bananas and ripe bananas, we continued our journey to Anse La Raye, a picturesque fishing village nestled on the island. From there, we descended to Canaries, where we were awestruck by the surreal beauty of the towns, particularly the iconic Pitons. The Pitons, two majestic mountains designated as heritage sites by the names of Gros Piton and Petite Piton, stood tall against the backdrop of the surrounding landscape. After leaving behind these breathtaking views, we headed to Soufriere, aptly named “Sulphur City.” Here, we indulged in a rejuvenating spa treatment derived from the natural volcanic waters of the Sulphur Springs. We immersed ourselves in mineral mud baths, directly sourced from the volcano, and applied the mud to our skin, akin to using a clay mask. The mud was then allowed to dry, followed by a cleansing rinse with the same mineral mud bath. The therapeutic experience left our skin radiant and smooth. Concluding our tour, we savored a delectable Saint Lucian buffet-style lunch at Paradise Hotel. Subsequently, we proceeded to the Toraille Waterfalls, where we were warmly welcomed by local artisans selling handcrafted jewelry, Upon entering the waterfalls, we were enveloped by lush greenery, the symphony of chirping birds, and the cascading waters into a tranquil pool. The refreshing ambiance was immediately rejuvenated by the sulfur springs, which imparted a cool respite. We descended to the beach, where the azure waters met the warm, golden sand. To our delight, one of the iconic Two Pitons stood prominently before us, providing an ideal backdrop for capturing numerous photographs. Our day culminated in a visit to Cocoa Saint Lucia, where we indulged in a variety of chocolates, perfumes, creams, and bags crafted from local cocoa productions. We secured our purchases in a spacious bag laden with delectable chocolate treats. Transporting us to our final destination was an air-conditioned bus that offered an unlimited supply of beverages, including water, cola products, Saint Lucian rum punch, and the locally brewed beer named after the renowned Pitons. Undoubtedly, this tour stands as one of the most exceptional experiences I have had on the island. The abundance of fun and the exceptional quality of the tour made it an unforgettable memory. If you seek a tour that will provide value for your time and money, this is undoubtedly the one.

Wonderful tour of St Lucia - This was a great tour. Michelle was very communicative and met us at the cruise terminal. We ventured to the volcano, mud bath, had lunch at a lovely spot with a beach, and stopped at the chocolate store. She answered our many questions and catered our adventures to our group. She's great, prepared with supplies, and very understanding of a group of mixed age preschool-older adults. She had tasty drinks for us and was willing to stop when someone was sick and let us run into the grocery store as an extra. We got stuck in traffic on the way back, but they managed to get us back in time to make our ship. She mentioned she chooses vehicle based on group size for comfort. She used to work at the volcano, so had lots of helpful contacts. She was helpful in taking a variety of photos and followed up with us after with ones taken on her phone. We highly recommend this tour and Michelle’s services!
