- Chiesa di San Nicolo All’Arena - We start the tour by talking about the 1669 eruption and the Church of San Nicolò all’Arena. The history of the church will be illustrated and seen externally. There is no visit inside.
- Monastero dei Benedettini - We will cross the Benedictine monastery, I will tell you about its history related to the eruption of 1669 and I will show you a section of the lava flow which came inside the walls of Charles V
- Parco Archeologico Greco Romano di Catania - We will pass near the Roman Theater of Catania, splendid example of Greco-Roman architecture. I will show you the theater externally, from a very pleasant view.
- Museo Civico Castello Ursino - We walk around the Ursino Castle in Catania, where exactly there the 1669 eruption arrived.
- Pozzo di Gammazita - I will show you this gem in the center of Catania: a semi-hidden well linked to a legend that I will tell you during the tour
- Piazza Santa Maria dell’Indirizzo - We will cross the Pescheria area, where in the morning there is an evocative market, while in the evening this is the area with the most nightlife in all Catania
- Giardino Pacini - We will arrive at Villa Pacini, where before saying goodbye I will show you the Marina Arches and tell you about their history.

Do you want to discover the power of Sicily’s most famous volcano? In this tour we will see how Etna changed Catania!
We meet in front of the church of San Nicolò, where we begin a tour in which the protagonist will be the Etna volcano.
First of all, we enter the courtyard of the Benedictine monastery of Catania where we will see important traces of the 1669 eruption still visible today.
We continue our visit going down towards the Roman Theatre, while I will tell you the story of the Amenano river, a river which exists currently underground.
Then we reach the Ursino Castle, a medieval fortress almost completely surrounded by the eruption of 1669, and we will walk around it.
From there, if the tour is in the morning, I will show you an amazing underground lava cave, if the tour is in the afternoon, I will show you the Gammazita Well, an evocative well surrounded by a fascinating legend that I will tell you about the place.
We continue the tour to Villa Pacini, where I will give you some advices about the typical food in Catania and some good bar and restaurants!
