The only excursion that provides 5/6 hours of trekking, starting from 2000 meters of altitude. Our naturalistic passionate guide will lead you through unknown paths of Mt Etna, where you can admire its vegetation, its lava deserts and its breathtaking panorama. Visit with us a cave of volcanic origins with the equipment provided by us (helmets and torches). At lunchtime we will offer a packed lunch, made of tasty sandwiches and a fruit, accompanied by water.

- English and Italian guide are always available, French and Spanish are subject to availability. Upon booking, we will confirm you if the language required is available.
- Trekking shoes are mandatory. We can provide trekking shoes and jacktes for free if requested at the time of booking.

The best tour experience - While it is easy just to say the hike was spectacular it was thanks to our guide Giovanni that made it a perfect day. In addition the staff at Etna Experience, especially Laura, provided an excellent pre tour experience by responding to questions quickly and ensuring we had all the relevant information about the tour. As someone who worked in protected areas management and dealt with visitor needs at our organization's sites I can say without hesitation that the team at Etna Experience are exceptional professionals who I would have no problem recommending to friends and family. I definitely would go on a tour with them again.

Amazing hike - If you found this trek - just do it!!! It took me several attempts and searches to find this trek but so glad that I did. Giovanni was an amazing tour guide. His background is in biology specifically botany. He is so knowledgeable and gave us the appropriate amount of information. We all had different hiking abilities and yet we all felt well taken care of. The views we were fortunate enough to see were breathtaking and definitely pictures will never do it justice.

Gladly again! - It was fantastic!
I was picked up near the hotel. We drove about 45 minutes to the camp where we were allowed to use hiking boots, jackets, etc. (free of charge)
After that we drove to the "Refugio Giovanni Sapienza" where we started. The hike was very beautiful and our guide was very knowledgeable. He (Giovanni) told us a lot of things. It was very pleasant and interesting!!

Etna full day tour - a wonderful tour guided by Janet. she is really knowledgeable and helpful. we went trekking and saw all the stuff about volcanos. went into a cave and knew how the lava works.

Solo Trekking with Dario - This tour was excellent! From start to finish, Dario gave very interesting information about the volcano since he is an expert in environmental and natural science. The hike on the northeastern side of the volcano lasted about 4 hours, it was not too difficult, but very interesting because it led us through different landscapes, from where we could enjoy different views, plants, vegetation and of course the dried lava flow under our feet. After a short lunch break at a beautiful chalet in the forest, Dario brought us back to have a taste of the “Etna fire” (liquor), and then we went to the second part of the tour, the lava tunnel. This part was also a unique experience to be in a lava tunnel. All in all, I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone! You will be surprised how much you can learn if you spend just one day in a completely different vegetation (almost like on another planet).

Etna experience excursion - We had an 8 hours trip with Danilo the geologist guide, he picked up us with an airconditional Land Rover. He was perfect in English and very kind. We had an easy lunch on 2200 meters, the view was mindblowing. We were in extraordinary places, the whole tour was incredible. It was an amazing experience, it totally worths the money.

Wonderful hike - We had an amazing experience hiking around the North side of the Etna. Our guide was wonderful and shared his extensive knowledge on the history and nature with great enthusiasm. This had definitely added even more to the already beautiful sights. In addition the communication with etna experience prior to our trip was excellent. Thanks again for this memorable day!

Solo Trekking with Giuseppe - November 6 we experienced one of the best organized tours to Etna accompanied by tour guide Giuseppe.He is a real professional, shared a lot of information with us. It seems he knows everything about Etna. Giuseppe showed us solitary track with no people around which gave us a feeling of isolation and allowed to enjoy Etna and spectacular views. He was attentive, caring, made our tour easy and comfortable. We definitely recommend him.
