The trail passes through huge forests of Coihues and Araucarias, ancient volcanic lavas until reaching the southern summit of the volcano, from where you can see its crater, the largest in South America and a huge glacier inside.
During the trek you can observe various geological processes, ancient forests and various animals such as; black woodpeckers, condors, striped rays, comeebos, snakes, lizards, foxes, etc.
