Awesome, a must see - My husband and I used Tikal go for our excursion from Belize to Guatemala to see Tikal. They answered any questions I had prior to being picked up. The driver and the tour guide at Tikal were both friendly and very knowledgeable. We had a great time and I highly recommend using Tikalgo!!

A very pleasant experience! - We took the tour with Tikal Go and the guide, Nate. Everything was perfect. Transportation from the Belize border is very easy. (Going through migration takes about 30 minutes) Our guide, Nate was excellent. He speaks English perfectly and showed us the park very well. Tikal is very special! In the end, lunch was very delicious, especially the chicken, beans and handmade tortillas. 5 stars!

Amazing Private Family Tour - Excellent tour of Tikal! We drove to the Belizian border and our guide Omar was waiting for us in the first building, walked us through the Guatemala border entry and then we headed out. Omar was very knowledgeable about Tikal and the animals and birds we saw as we walked through the jungle paths. He was great with all the questions from the kids and had the perfect tour plan for our group to see the highlights despite the super hot day. The bus was clean and comfortable, lunch was delicious and Tikal was simply amazing! TikalGo made the whole process a breeze.

Wonderful experience and would recommend to all. - We chose the private tour from the Belize border. Omar was our guide and he was so great to learn from and happily answered all of our questions. I travelled with my husband, young teens, and sister. He connected with everyone. Our lunch in Tikal was simple but so delicious! My kids asked me immediately to learn how to make the chicken they served. Also, the van we took was really spacious and new. At the end of the trip, Omar went out of his way to get us back across the border quickly. For a private tour it was a great value. Thanks so much!

Great day trip from Belize for the marvel that is Tikal - Perfectly executed tour from San Ignacio in Belize, including transfer to the border, escorting through the Guatemala border controls, large private van to Tikal, over four hours at the site, stops at the gift shop in the nearby village, and the reverse back to San Ignacio hotel. While in Tikal, we got a good overview of the history of the site and of its discovery, climbed all of the high points, with our guide offering a variety of informational context without being overwhelming. Loved it!

Fabulous Day Trip to Tikal from San Ignacio - We had a fabulous time exploring Tikal with Tikal Go. Our guide, Jorge Leon, was professional, knowledgeable, kind, and passionate about ancient Mayan culture. He is a skilled storyteller and he helped to bring the ruins to life. "Lion" also paused many times for us to view wildlife: monkeys, parrots, trogons, a crocodile, coatimundi, and many birds. A driver picked us up from our lodging in San Ignacio and drove us to the border (about 20 minutes). We walked across the border, paid the Belize departure fee, met our guide, cleared Guatemalan immigration, and got into a different vehicle with a different driver on the Guatemalan side. It took about an hour and 45 minutes to get from the border to Tikal. The whole process is very well organized. I strongly recommend touring Tikal with Tikal Go. It was a fantastic experience.

Tikal and Flores - Four of us booked a tour of Tikal with an overnight in Flores through Tikal Go, and it was an amazing trip. I booked the tour online from Canada and Carlos was excellent. I had a lot of questions and Carlos was very patient and answered all of them quickly. He was even able to customize our tour for us so that it fit into our travel plans as we had to take all our luggage with us since we were not returning to our house after leaving Flores. When the day came for us to go.. everything went off without a hitch. They picked us up at our Air BnB on time and drove us to the Guatemalan border. At the border it would have been nice to have a little bit more direction regarding what to expect and what to do, but we managed to figure it out easily enough. Once we crossed the border a new driver and guide greeted us, and once again, it was all professional and done easily. Noel was our guide for Tikal, and he was wonderful. He was knowledgeable and his English was good. We even ran into Carlos on our way there and he introduced himself to us and came with us for part of the trip which was nice. He was very pleasant and passionate about his company and was always looking for suggestions about ways to improve our experience. The Tikal tour itself was amazing. Under Joel's guidance we not only saw a lot but also learnt a lot. He customized his tour for us, being sensitive to the fact that some members of the group were not able to climb up stairs and paths as easily as others. The tour also included a very nice lunch on site, which was a nice way to end. I am not sure what the normal size group is, but there were only six of us on this tour, which made for easy hearing when Noel was telling us things. I have a feeling that 8 is probably their max in order to ensure that it is small enough that everyone gets a good experience. After that, the 4 of us were driven to Flores where we would spend the night. Carlos came with us to Flores and had made the hotel arrangements. The hotel he chose was perfect. In a wonderful location, and newly renovated. Flores is beautiful. I would highly recommend it. If you are doing Tikal you have to take the time to go to Flores. It is so close that to not go would be a shame. Flores is an island city. It is only about a mile in diameter and you can walk the circumference in under an hour. But the real thrill is zig-zagging through the narrow city streets and climbing to the top of the hill where the church is located. The tour that Tikal Go arranged included breakfast the next day and a boat tour of the lake. Again we were joined by Noel who is an expert bird man and pointed out wildlife as we went along. Again the boat tour was customized for us and our group just happened to want to visit a wildlife rehab center which Noel arranged for us and guided us through. After the boat tour we collected our things and once again our driver was on time and polite. We were driven back to Guatemalan border where we crossed back into Belize. A slightly different process than crossing the other way so once again it would have been nice to have a bit more direction on what to do and what to expect. We were met on the Belize side by the same driver that drove us initially. One of our members had left a sweater on the van the first day,and when we mentioned this to get she was able to phone the head office, track it down, and made arrangements to have it delivered to our next destination. Overall I was very impressed with Tikal Go and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Tikal and Flores. They responded to my questions quickly and customized our tour to fit into our travel schedule and to our specific needs. They picked us up on time, and their guides were both professional and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to ensure out trip was memorable. I would highly recommend you ask for Carlos and Noel.

A Terrific Tour Company to Take Care of Your Every Need as You Visit Tikal Ruins - We found Tikal Go on the internet as we were researching a visit to Tikal. We definitely recommend this company for anyone considering a trip to Tikal. We generally like to coordinate our trips in a more “DIY” fashion to give us maximum flexibility. We were renting a car in Mexico, spending a little time there, then Belize, then we wanted to visit the magnificent Tikal ruins site. As we investigated taking our Mexican rental car into Guatemala, we discovered that the cost to do so would be an extra $180 USD for the car entrance paperwork + insurance for Guatemala + gas, etc. We quickly shifted our thinking to a tour. The customer service was outstanding as we communicated in English on-line with Carlos from Tikal Go who helped us design a custom private trip, making whatever changes we desired. We ended up having a representative meet us at the Belize/Guatemala border at a time of our choosing, drive us to Isla de Flores (about an hour from Tikal & a beautiful location) where we stayed for the night. A driver picked us up the next morning at a time we picked to get us to the ruins early enough to fully enjoy the day and get back to the border at a reasonable time for us. The tour lasted approximately 4 hours which was perfect for us, and they were happy to accommodate shorter or longer tours without any price adjustment. The guide (Chris) was very knowledgeable and did a good job to gauge the amount of personal interaction & site information we were seeking and adjusted his communication accordingly. The driver (Rogelio) was also a pleasure to be with & shared of his personal experience as a person of Mayan heritage. He was welcoming & made us feel safe upon arrival at the border as well as with his driving. It was nice be on a private tour, so he could adjust the stops to meet our needs.
