It was built between 1386-1388, being one of the most important foundations of the ruler Mircea cel Batran (Mircea the Ancient). Initially, it was known under the name of Nucet Monastery, because it was built in an area proper for walnut trees to grow. The name of “Cozia” was given to it later, after the name of the mountain in its vicinity.

Corvin castle - Absolutely stunning castle! If you are staying in Bucharest and want to see Corvin castle, do this private trip. It is worth the long drive. Sit back and enjoy the scenery. You travel through stunning parts of the Carpathian mountains. Having a private trip with plenty of time on your own to explore this castle, is worth every bit of the money you spend. The guide is knowledgeable and will make sure you have a wonderful day!! I recommend this tour!!
