Local insights from an authentic local characters - We are Cadiz tour Alexandro Pre-tour customer service Booking was easy and communication was excellent. Due to some unforeseen transportation issues I was concerned I might miss the rendezvous. Juanjo messaged to say not to worry, my booking could be transferred to another tour, luckily I made it to the rendezvous. There were 8 others in the group for the tour in English. Our guide Alejandro is an engaging local character and authentic gaditano. Alejandro entertained us with endless local insights, the occasional ghost story and historical legend, factual and maybe not so much so, nevertheless less all for the better travellers experience Whether it be: How a Spanish king lost the country by accident, or how gaditanos routinely recycled the thwarted invaders canons. Local architecture and monuments are explained with genuine interest and passion, as are stories of the watchtowers of Cadiz. Centuries of myth and legend are intertwined with practical advise and local knowledge of markets, cafes and tavernas. From Hercules to Hollywood we get an insight into the face and character of the city. By the end of the tour you too will feel you arrived as a tourist and left as a Gaditano.

An Informative overview of the history of Cadiz. - Our guide, Alba, met us at the prescribed time. Enjoyable walk through the Old Town of Cadiz. She explained the history, going back to Venetian times, up to the Napoleonic siege of the city, pointing out various statues and their meanings, as well as some of the more modern aspects of the city, like the large indoor market. Started at the Plaza España and ended at the Cathedral. Very good value. Thanks.

Value for money - Interesting tour with Alejandro. Well worth doing to understand some of the vast history of Cadiz from a guide who is passionate about history & the city of Cadiz. Rain was forecast & Alejandro had a back up plan to visit museums in case the rain got heavy. Fortunately the rain was not too bad.

Visit to the top (in Spanish) - We are 2 young French, we wanted to do this visit in Spanish and it was quite easy to understand everything. We had the opportunity to ask questions in French if certain points were not clear. We loved this tour which changes from the usual tourism. Learn more about some of the city’s iconic monuments through anecdotes and history. We recommend 100%.

Beautiful visit to Cadiz - Very nice visit today with Juanjo , Great Guide who knew how to adapt our visits despite a deplorable weather (rain , rain and rain!! ) the very many details and anecdotes about Cadiz that he taught us made this visit really very interesting , we certainly would not have had as much information with a simple Tourist Guide . His kindness and kindness helped to make this morning great. We recommend 100% and +++

For a visit in French, do not hesitate! - A very pleasant visit: JuanJo introduces us to his hometown through vivid anecdotes and a thoughtful journey, which allows us to have a good historical and current overview. The visit is in French, which is very appreciable, and the exchanges are friendly. A host who loves his city and wants to make us love it. I recommend!
