I am still left speechless - Wow, what can I say, an experience I will never forget to the day I die! It was amazing watching and swimming with these amazing gentle giants. It was if they knew we meant them no harm and there was a mutual connection, and so awe inspiring when they brush against you as they swim past you, and they seem to look into your soul, it was a almost emotional experience for me and my gf, and well worth the cost of the experience. And Oslob is a beautiful place with many other tourist places to see..

Out if this world experience that I will never forget - Out of this world experience. One of the whale sharks brushed against my leg which sent chills up my spine. My tour guide was incredible. He got some anazing shots of me & really helped me to get some lovely footage of me up close & personal with the whale sharks. I felt safe & well looked after the entire time.

Almost a guaranteed sighting of whale sharks - Is it unethical? That’s not for me to say. I can tell you it employs a LOT of people and none of the whale sharks I saw appeared injured or distressed. If they were in an enclosed space it may be a different matter but they are free to come and go as they please. That said it appeared well organized when we went. We arrived there at about 8 and it wasn’t at all the nightmare I’d read about during the busy season. We were issued the warnings about staying away from them, no suntan lotion etc. got our required life jackets and were on a boat in minutes. You can see them fine from the boat even if you don’t go in the water. Someone I was with can’t swim and she was happy with what she saw. The water was a bit rough so everyone on our boat just hung onto the pontoons while snorkeling. You have 30 mins. That was my only opportunity to see a whale shark and I’m happy I went.

Eye-opener experience - Our whale shark watching experience was both awe-inspiring and bittersweet. While the time in the water with these magnificent creatures was just right, it was disheartening to see how they’re kept near the shore with feeding practices. Even more concerning, some guests displayed little respect, harassing the gentle giants. These issues highlight the need for better conservation efforts and stricter guidelines to protect these incredible animals. But overal a good experienxe for both young and adults.

Cool whales with non-cool organization - Certainly whales are beautiful. And there are a lot of them. But if you come swimming on the surface with them and run into a sudden flash mob of a thousand Chinese, you're going to hell in line for three to five hours. Waiting area arrangements are terrible, you'll be allowed to spend a real 15 minutes in the water. Be prepared for this turn or come dive underwater.

Unethical activity, I wouldn't do it again - This activity is very unethical: whale sharks are attracted near the beach in the morning and then are blocked in an area delimited by buoys for the rest of the day where they are fed to come and swim near the tourists. They are then released in the evening and come back every day... I did not appreciate it at all, if you can turn to better organizations…

Worst Whale Watching Experience - Worst experience ever, from the unorganized queue system to the guides and boat paddlers. They only prioritize foreigners and always ask your nationality to determine their treatment. Whale watching in Bohol is much nicer.

Prisoner animals - I'm ashamed I made the trip. If you renounce your selfishness and are a deep-rooted person yourself and then make this trip, you can only be ashamed. Explanation: The animals are in a staked-out area so that the animals cannot go about their natural drifts, meaning that the animals are forced to come to the boats because they are hungry and then be fed so that hundreds of tourists can enjoy themselves very close to the animals. This is a single animal cruelty because the animals really only come because they are hungry and have no other choice to feed themselves in the sea. I had a day trip from Cebu City all the way down south to this spot, had to drive for 7 hours for this crap. You get there at 5 a.m., 6 a.m. you'll feel like you're in an airport terminal just before departure, you'll see hundreds of people, just like you and me, to support this animal cruelty. That's why I'm ashamed of my booking afterwards

DO NOT GO! - DO NOT GO! One of the most inhumane activities. I read the reviews before booking and thought it looked okay but when we arrived there were 100s of people queuing up, being herded like sheep and lining up on the beach in life jackets. The whale sharks are definitely fed to hang around the area, even though they advertise otherwise. We decided when we arrived that we wouldn't go through with it because of how sick it made us feel to see all of that. The poor animals.
