President Figueiredo - Incredible place, you can go all year round; in August, with dry weather, there is usually no waterfall in Maroaga Cave and Judea Cave, but the visit is still very good. There are several waterfalls, I went to Asframa, the choice depends on the agency you hired. Marujo Turismo had a good service.

Popular (busy) hike through the Amazon - Very popular hike through the Amazon. The caves are amazing, but I'm told the waterfall only runs during the wet season. Expect a lot of people on this hike. There are some hills, and walking through water, so good footwear and comfort going barefoot are required! Go early in the morning for fewer people. If you have more time and want a more authentic Amazonian experience, go stay in a lodge somewhere, the prices are comparable and it's totally worth having your own guide.

Great use of my day in Manaus - Wonderful experience, refreshing to be in the water and beautiful scenery. Couple of points - we wanted an English tour, our guide did speak English and was fantastic - however, the first stop is guided by another group who did not speak English. Also - spend the $1-2 and get the rubber boots! Second - there is no place to ever change into dry clothes, and DO wear your swim suit. Third - when you stop for lunch, find out when you are leaving, eat quickly and get down to the river. We mistakenly thought we were going down with the group and then missed out. And lastly - this ended up being closer to 11 hours, so just be aware of that. In all, I would do it again.

Ok, better days to be had in the rainforest. - First stop is brilliant, waterfalls are incredible. The guide and driver weren't great. Info states guide in English as well as Spanish and Portuguese but we found that when the information came at the end in English, it was basic and not delivered with the same enthusiasm. Lastly the driver didn't know where he was going for pick up or drop off resulting in our drive home to be over 4 hours from the rainforest and even then we got out early and walked.

Only if you have done everything else cool in the area first - Only do this if you have a lot of time in Macau and have seen the river and the city first. Very slippery walk. Far from the city- took all day which I didnt find worth it for a few waterfalls. The stops seemed more like photo-ops for the people in my group and the last waterfall was really meh with a lot of plastic tourist tat around it.

Unreliable and terrible service - The tour was cancelled 5 minutes before was due to be picked up. Leaving me o time to find any alternative tour on my last day in Manaus. Very dissatisfied would suggest you find other operators that are more reliable. Getting a refund does not compensate for a day wasted.
