Beautiful tour of the historic center - Lazarus gave us a beautiful and very valuable tour of the historic area of Salvador. He explained many things to us, from the history, geography, population and architecture of the city and its surroundings. We spent a beautiful afternoon in your company, and with an excellent Spanish. Thank you so much! We will be back soon (and at carnival) 🥳

Amazing - I made the tour with Iara, an amazing person, teacher and passionate about the story of Salvador. It was rich in details and curiosities that completely changed my experience here. Amazing how it makes a difference to better understand the culture and historical context as we are learning a new place. Everything becomes much more interesting. Super recommend. Thank you to the whole team! ⁇

For those who like history - The historic center of Salvador is well worth the guided visit. Yes, you can know solo but the richness of history that the place has is worth paying 80 reals and the guide presenting you each point and explaining. But there is a gap to be used, these tours are usually in groups so if you are a dick face like me, I stayed close to a group of people and so listening to what the guide was talking. Nowadays by what I observed this practice does not work much given that many people do not mind listening to local history. Despite the reforms, the structures of many shops and houses are from the 18th century. Only point that peca is a lot in Salvador that to this day is still like this, are natives pushing you guela down any crafts even if it is of straw and stay on your foot asking for money. I didn't suffer that much due to pretending to have a Bavarian accent and saying it was native. I took the tips from some of my friends collaborators. But be patient and friendly with them to avoid confusion. Bonfim's famous fitinhas shopping in stores come more to account than directly with walkers. An unusual thing is that I stumbled upon countless places where there was a shipment of exposed pebbles that the tourists had stuck there. A second unusual is that both in Salvador and in the main tourist cities of the state when you are native pay half and when you are a tourist pay double. Until mid-2015, it was easy for a tourist to pay as a native just pretending to be a Bayan. Logically, if you are Galician it would not be easy. It didn't pass. Since the practice has been abusive let's say so, from 2015 onwards if you want to pay native value you will have to have proof of address. On my second trip to the state I didn't have the same luck as on the first. But then I was asked, do you have gifts when you're a tourist? No! Just not! The environment is the same for both visitors, the refinements are the same the only difference is the access door to the venue. Entered and all the same. Advice to backpackers, Salvador is not such a great city to know. Stays of 4 days is more than enough. One tip I made when I went was grinding. I went to Salvador by plane, stayed 4 days exploring well, then took a bus to Porto Seguro (12 hours of travel, today the ticket is 120 reais). From Porto Seguro I made arrangement and Trancoso. Only I don't live in São Paulo, because it's another type of travel. Finally, I set up a 20-day script and explored 4 cities with a break from Bahia. The return to SP was by plane departing from Porto Seguro with a stop to Salvador. That comes more into account by saying that the airport of Porto Seguro functions as an “air bridge” due to its size.

Pleasant and enriching tour! - We loved the Walking Tour experience with the Guide Carlos Triunfo. He patiently explained a lot of the history of the city and led us on a very nice walk along the Pelourinho. It was enriching! I recommend too for those who want to have a better knowledge about the history of Salvador and the Bahia people, in addition to learning how to locate yourself by the center.
