• Centro Cultural Municipal Parque das Ruinas - Another delightful surprise in one of the most cherished spots in Rio, the Parque das Ruínas, is perched atop Santa Teresa and offers a stunning panoramic view of the city. However, it’s not just the view that captivates and draws visitors; the site also serves as a cultural center with a diverse program and boasts a fascinating historical aspect.

Right at the entrance to the favela is the location where some scenes from the movie Fast and Furious 5 were filmed. Parts of Elite Squad 2 were also shot in the community, and the site has been visited by a host of artists, including pop icons Michael Jackson and Madonna, as well as celebrities like Alicia Keys, Vin Diesel, Hugh Jackman, Jason Statham, among others.

The view from the top of the favela is breathtaking! Sugarloaf, Urca, Corcovado, Ipanema, Copacabana, and more can all be seen at once.

• Museu Chacara do Ceu - The Chácara do Céu Museum, once the residence of Castro Maya and bequeathed by him for public benefit through the Castro Maya Foundation, is located in Santa Teresa and has been known by this name since 1876. Inherited by Castro Maya in 1936 and listed by the National Historical and Artistic Heritage Institute (IPHAN) in 1974, the museum showcases art collections from various periods and origins, rare books, furniture, and decorative arts, all housed in a three-story building.

Today, in addition to permanent and temporary exhibitions, the museum maintains two rooms that are originally furnished and acclimated to preserve the residential character of the place.
