Fast and easy transfer, but driving was a bit aggressive - Did a transfer from Paraty to Ilha Grande. Everything was quick and easy. Paraty Tours did not have a boat until later in the day, but they arranged a boat for us with another company so we would not have to wait long. All in all very happy with the choice. Saw the Easy Transfer boat later, and super happy we did not go with that slow boat. Driver was on time and was helpful with the transfer to the boat. Only negative was that he was driving quite aggressively. Hence the 4 star instead of 5. I guess since he was waiting for people from the same boat as we were taking, it would be nice if he had offered to keep the luggage in the car while we were waiting, so we didn't have to carry it around while at the docks, but it's not a big deal. Would definitely use again, and definitely this over EasyTransfer. Finally I guess the tip to others is to go to the agency if you want to book the transfer last minute, don't rely on the website - they prefer 2 days notificaiton there.

Good and Bad. - A mixed review here. First time in Brazil and we wanted to go to stay for a few nights on the island of Ilha Grande. We had booked accommodation but otherwise knew nothing about the island. The guy in the office, (Renan?) was very keen to sell us a package of pick up from our Posada, transport and ferry ticket. We told him we would have all our luggage as we would be going on from there to Rio. It was certainly more expensive than other companies offering a similar service. At no time did he ask where on the island we were staying or mention the fact that there are several ferries going to different locations on the Island. He just booked us on one. On the day of travel our pick up was late ( we had to get our hosts to call the office to see if they were coming). It eventually arrived (no apology or explanation). We were told 8;30 but be ready at 8:10. Van arrived 8:45 so 35 minutes hanging around. When we arrived at the ferry terminal it was only then we found out by chance (talking to another Paraty tours rep Jasmin) about all the other ferries and that we were in fact booked on a ferry going nowhere near where we needed to be. Jasmin was excellent and managed to book us on the correct ferry but we did, in fact, have to pay for our luggage. The office were not prepared to help with that. As I say, Jasmin was excellent but the office could have done much better by asking a couple of simple questions to make sure they were sending us to the right place. A bit too keen to get the money we felt.

transfer booking - If you do not speak English, please be prepared to do as much as you can via WhatsApp prior to leaving. We were part of a shared route that we expected to leave at 8:30 but only arrived at 9:00. You get to Angra dos Reis around 11:00 and head over to the pier where you'll need to show your ticket and get in one of the five queues. The driver was very kind but it was harder for us to figure out what was going on before then.

I would not recommend using this service - We paid extra to get picked up from our accommodation but the tour operator was so badly organised (constantly asking where our address was) that we gave up and just dragged our luggage to their office to ensure we got on the bus. They delayed the departure by one hour and spent extra time trying to find the other passengers before finally departing. We were so late we missed our connecting boat. Another delay til we finally got to Ilha Grande. We were so stressed and exhausted by the time we arrived. Not a good experience.

Disorganised and expensive - I would not use this service again nor recommend it. It was more expensive than other options and very poorly coordinated which resulted in all three of our parties being collected late, waiting longer than necessary for the mini bus and missing the ferry transfer that was included. We booked the shuttle from Paraty to Ilha Grande to leave at 12:30 pm weeks in advance and provided our pick up addresses by email as requested. We were subsequently asked to provide our addresses three more times via different means including two different WhatsApp numbers. It seemed as if several different people were contacting us, and the system was not being updated. There was so much confusion and time wasted that two of us went into the office a day ahead to ensure they had the correct addresses, and they had some difficulty even finding our bookings in the system. One of our parties decided to walk to the agency with their luggage rather than risk not being collected but no discount was offered. We had to direct the driver to the address of another passenger’s hotel when we realised the bus was at the wrong location. It was stressful but at least we got there in the end albeit more than an hour later than expected.

Late, paid for service that was not delivered, terrible - Terrible and unorganized. I paid for a pick up service to find out is was not pick up then they asked me to carry my luggage 1 km to the depot. We missed our connection
