Great trip! - Went on a fun diving trip 19 April 2024 to the dive site "U Bend" towards the south end of Phu Quoc. Many thanks to Hugh who lead our group and to Ben for the comms on the boat. A very good day - one of the best I've had over 8 years scuba!

Diving tour - I really enjoyed this diving experience! It was a long time ago since I last dived so I was a little nervous but everything went smooth and it was so nice to dive again! Can recommend the tour :)

Great experience of Fun Diving in Phu Quoc - I was here for fun diving, it’s nice. They provide brand new equipment, including pickup service. My Dive guide is Thai, he give clear instruction , introduce the beautiful sea creatures underwater, and always take care of us. His guide is really fun and excellent. Can’t wait to come back again!

The fast turtle.. - Made 2 Dives, the service and instructor were spotless.. plus actually saw a turtle in the second dive.. definitely recommend it.. Thank you VNactive team..

Very good Dive-center! - Everything is super organized. The shuttle picked me up from my hotel and took me to the boat. They had all the equipment already prepared. Nikolai is a very good dive instructor! After two dives we had lunch on the boat. Thanks to Nick & the team for this amazing trip!

Great and chill dive! - Nikolai has been a pleasure to dive with. He was really calm and observant with our situation while diving. He also has a very clear judgements of our competence in diving and bring us somewhere where it was fun and chalenging current which were where all the beautiful corals. Would be lucky to dive with him again!

Padi advanced open water - Active Vietnam - Amazing 2 days !! I just passed my advanced open water with my instructor Quoc Thaï from the Vietnam Active team. It was an amazing moment, Quoc speaks a perfect English, knows how to make people feel at home. He took us to several sites and allowed me to develop my skills in order to reach the next level. The boat is really big with 2 decks, at the end everyone was jumping off the top. On the way back to the port, a perfect Viet lunch is served with hot / cold drinks. I highly recommend the experience with this group, and if you’re really lucky you will be with Quoc !! The only two words I can finnish on would be: Thank You 🤍 Advanced Open Water in the pocket 🤿 28/03/2023

So-so Viz and long sailing time to sites - We just returned from a 2 tank fun dive in the South. *Booking As they seem to not have a proper “dive shop”, I chatted by WA and then booked online which went well. No need to pay up front, you settle your bill (cash or card), after lunch, shortly before you get off the boat. *Equipment Brought my own fins/mask. BCD and weight belt from boat which were ok. *Logistics We were picked up on time from our hotel in a minibus and driven (20’) to a very small local fishing port where the “mother” vessel awaited offshore. You need to step onto a very small vessel which takes you to the dive boat. Our dive master’s name was Tim. *Dive boat Enough space for the group we were (I guess approx 12 divers + 6 staff) Water, coffee and tea is included Included lunch was ok. *Dive sites / current 1. Marine Park : strong current 2. U-Turn : moderate to no current *Visibility (in NO way Vietnam Active’s fault) There was a lot of sediment, making the viz BAD. I would guess approx 1m on dive 1 and approx 3m on dive 2. Having asked two people on the boat, one of them said “it is always like this” and the second said the viz is better only in April & October *Marine life Nothing special. various nudis, octopus and rather healthy looking corals. *Snorkel My wife only snorkelled and her disappointment was just as big as mine. *Bottom line If you are expecting, as in other South East Asian countries, to find chrystal clear water, no current, great viz and a lot of marine life, do not choose these dive sites because you will be disappointed like we were. *PS We cannot comment on any other Vietnam dive sites as these are the only 2 we dove.
