Fantastic Tour - This trip ticked off a big bucket list item for me, and having the private transport out of Rome made it so much better. Our driver Alex was absolutely fantastic. He had a lot of interesting information about the sites and places we drove by, helped arrange tickets at each location, and set up a lunch reservation for us. This tour was totally worth it to escape from the busy city for a little bit and get out to some sites that are less touristy, but very much worth a visit. My husband and I would definitely book a tour with this company again and we have already recommended it to family that will be visiting the area.

Must Do Tour - This tour was absolutely fantastic! The sites we got to were incredible and not ones you'd usually be able to easily get to while visiting Rome. Our tour guide, Alex Paolini, was so personable and made the trip even more enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable about the area and helped us procure all of our tickets, as well as set up reservations for us at a lovely trattoria in Ceri, a little mountain top village. We couldn't have asked for a better reprieve from the busy city and I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in some less touristy areas of Italy.

Great private tout - This was an awesome tour. Our guide Alex was wonderful very knowledgeable and an excellent companion on the tour. We especially enjoyed the Etruscan tombs.

Alex Paolini of Best rome drivers - Took us to Odescalchi’s castle (aka Castello de Bracciano), Ceri, and Cerveteri. He’s personable and sociable; very pleasant to talk with (we did so in english). Got us to, and from, our destinations reliably and soundly. He has my recommendation. If you know things about animals, the discussions will be quite meaningful. :)

Kindest man in Rome - If you go on any tour at all ask for Alex Paolini. I am a doddering old lady and he was endlessly patient, taking me to extra places not mentioned in guide books, such as the tiny village of Ceri, and supplying a footstool for me to get in and out of his car.

3 towns outside of Rome tour - Salvatore was an amazing driver, guide and host. He knew every detail of the history of the area and answered every question we had. I can’t say enough good about him. Thank you Salvatore for a great day!

Great Sights to See on a Day Trip from Rome - Our visit to Cerveteri was spectacular -- a slice of ancient history that should not be missed. Lake Bracciano and the Odescalchi Renaissance Castle were sweet bonuses. Best Rome Driver is a terrific organization. Our driver, Livio, and the reservationist, Serena, were TOP NOTCH.

From Etruscans to the Orsini - Alex Poalini was our guide on this trip that took us first to Castello Orsini-Odescalchi, a medieval castle that once served as fortress and home to the Orsini family - contemporaries of the Medici and the Borgia It was followed by a delicious lunch at a restaurant in the little town of Ceri recommended by Alex, that served all homemade foods before visiting the Necropolis della Banditaccia. These areas share a fascinating history of the ancient Etruscans conveyed to us by our excellent guide. I recommend this tour to anyone interested in Etruscan and/or medieval history.

Fantastic Airport Transfer and Tour Service - We had a wonderful experience using Best Rome Driver! From the beginning, Alessio was very helpful in setting up our airport transfers as well as modifying the Etruscan day Tour to include our request to include a stop at Lake Bracciano. We found the pricing for the transfers and tour very reasonable. Also, upon our arrival, we had several flight delays. Alessio answered my emails timely and to ensure us that a driver would meet us and not to worry. It gave us great peace of mind as we were also traveling with our almost 2 year old. Our driver for our airport transfers was Alex. He was ready and waiting when we arrived and was prompt to our Air BnB for our departure. He was very friendly and an excellent driver. We were concerned that we didn't schedule our departure pick up early enough, but he ensured us he would get us there on time. He surely did! My husband was very satisfied with the route Alex took as it was much faster than what he expected. For our day tour to the Tombs of Cerveteri and Lake Bracciano, our driver was Giuliano. He was also very friendly and knowledgeable! At the Tombs of Cerveteri, he helped us to purchase our tickets and waited for us while we explored the Necropolis. Our next stop was the Orsini Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano. Again, he guided us to the entrance and waited. Following the Castle, he took us to a lovely restaurant down by the lake. The restaurant had a beautiful view of Lake Bracciano and the castle in the distance. Unfortunately, our 2 year old was terrified by a few cats that roamed the outdoor patio and we had to order our food to go. Since our day was cut short, Giuliano was gracious enough to make a suggestion to make a quick stop at The Janiculum Hill so that we could get pictures overlooking Rome. It was a beautiful and appreciated stop to end the day. Use Best Rome Driver and you won't be disappointed!

A Day with the Etruscans - On an overcast day in mid-November we embarked on The Ancient Etruscan Civilization Tour from Rome. We were picked up at our centrally located hotel in Rome at the appointed time and returned to the hotel at the appointed time. Before the tour, Alex, the driver was in touch with us via cell phone text advising us that he was on his way and would be at the hotel at the appointed time. This is truly a marvelous tour for any lover of ancient history. We visited Etruscan tombs and quaint hill-top towns, and had a delicious lunch in one of the most unique villages. We also visited the medieval Castle of Bracciano built by the Orsini family. It is a massive example of a late medieval fortification. Alex, our driver from Best Rome Driver Private Tours, was wonderful. In addition to being punctual, professional, and knowledgeable, he was kind and patient. He anticipated our needs and eagerly so to it that they were met. For example, he overheard my husband and I commenting to each other that we would have to purchase bottled water somewhere, and I mentioned that I would like to buy some good Italian cheese to take home. Alex made sure that these wishes and other requests were accomplished; we are enjoying the cheese now. While we were investigating the tombs and the castle, he insisted that we carry his extra cell phone in case we had a question or needed information. This made me feel that much more comfortable as the tombs in particular were on a network of paths that twisted and turned. We were indeed fortunate to have Alex as our driver / guide for this amazing full day tour. When we return to Rome, we will most definitely request his services again.
