An excellent alternative trip from Civittavechia.. - When you have done Rome several times from the cruise stop in Civittavechia try the tombs visit to Cerveteri - 3000 to 4000 years old an a Unesco heritage place to see. The best station to get off the train is Cerveteri - Ladispoli . The bus to Cerveteri old town / Necropolis goes from the station square; the old town is on a hill and quaint. On the way back to Civittavechia by train a stop at the seaside resort of Santa Marinella is worth an hour or so for a look around.

50 % Good - We had a problem finding the starting point , and when we finally found him he keep dwelling on the point that it was our error and would not let it go for several minutes. Plain annoying. The Cerveteri part was good as the driver/guide came with us and explained thingts. The castle at Santa Severass was poor as the driver/guide did not come in and most of the signs were in Italian, My feeling is to get the most out of this Tour you have to know Italian.
