During this adventure, you’ll marvel at the stunning stalagmites and stalactites within the cave system. A unique aspect of this cave system is that a section of Cha Loi cave was utilized during the Vietnam War. Inside the cave, there’s a large stage that served artists during those heroic years. According to the local Van Kieu people, the Cha Loi system in Le Thuy is where General Vo Nguyen Giap commanded the southern front. Additionally, this tour includes visits to beautiful valleys, refreshing streams, and simple stilt houses. Tourists can opt for a 2-day, 1-night tour to experience Hang Coi Village and spend a night camping by the valley. The Cha Loi cave system in Le Thuy is near Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park, about 40km southwest of Dong Hoi. This area bears the footprints of The General during the war, the eldest brother of the Vietnamese People’s Army. Hence, the residents of Le Thuy and Quang Ninh districts take great pride in this cave system, often referring to it as “The General Cave.” 08:00: Netin Travel’s guide and driver will pick you up from your designated hotel, whether in Dong Hoi or Phong Nha. You’ll depart from the western Ho Chi Minh road to visit the Long Dai ferry, a major traffic point on Ho Chi Minh road and a site of intense bombing by the American Army from 1965 to 1972. After paying respects at the memorial monument at Long Dai Ferry and taking some photos, you’ll proceed to the company’s operation center at Khe Sung Village in Ngan Thuy Commune. Here, you’ll be equipped with caving tools such as a torch, helmet, boots, gloves, and other necessary gear. You’ll receive instructions on how to use the tools and guidelines for the exploration. First, you’ll explore Hang Nuoc (Water Cave), a small cave with significant historical importance from the Vietnam War. After a brief visit to Water Cave, you’ll arrive at the A72 information station, which played a crucial role in ensuring smooth communication for the Southern battlefield, transmitting many important commands. Next, you’ll embark on the journey to explore Cha Loi cave, engaging in activities like walking, crawling, climbing, and swimming over a 4km journey inside the cave. During this adventure, you’ll have ample opportunities to take photos and admire the magnificent stalactite formations. You’ll also get to experience the beautiful “tunnel of love” inside the cave. 13:00: Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch at Khe Sung village, prepared by the company. After lunch, you’ll have a short time to relax. Then, you’ll visit Hang Coi Village to discover the cultural features of the Bru Van Kieu ethnic people. 16:00: Return to the car park. 17:30: End of the tour.

Incredible cave experience - We had the best time on this tour. If you are looking for an adventure off the beaten path and away from tourist traps then this is for you. Linh, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the area and knew the cave system like the back of his hand. Lunch was delicious and cooked by the locals and we finished off with a dip in a beautiful clean river. We went in shorts and tshirts and were fine. They provide grip sandals if you don’t have shoes to wear. 10/10 highly recommend!

Cave exploration - We did the cave discovery and it was extraordinary! They have plenty of staff to assist you at all time. Prepare to embrace the dirt as you climb up and down throughout the cave! Should be in good shape and have an adventurous yearn to do a once in a lifetime exploration and challenge!

An absolute must visit if visiting Quang Binh - This was our third group booking with this amazing team. We had 22 guests of all ages on our tour. The cave provided some challenging times for our group but we all made it out with nothing but good memories. Highly recommend bringing your own closed toe shoes for this tour. Much better than using the companies shoes. The bbq and scenery after the trek was equally impressive!

Majestic Beauty Below Ground - While the world above ground has its wonders, Cha Loi Cave showcases the unsung beauty that lies beneath. Breathtaking Beyond Words - The trip of a lifetime!” So well organized and executed. From picking up at the airport, to the porters bringing my stuff, to the meals, camping, music nights and rice wine. The sheer beauty and majesty of Cha Loi Cave left me speechless. It's a place where words fall short, and only awe remains. The silence, occasionally broken by the gentle drip of water, adds to its ethereal charm. An absolute must-visit for anyone in the region

Subterranean Wonderland - I've done two tours with Netin travel up to now: Discovery Paradise and Phong Nha cave and the absolutely stunning hang Cha Loi 2 day tour. Both were fabulous and Netin travel is a fantastic company that cares about the customer experience deeply. Equally, they care about preserving the caves and the local people, which matters to me a lot. Descending into Cha Loi Cave feels like stepping into a fairytale. With its natural sculptures and shimmering formations, every nook and cranny promise a new surprise. The guided tour was informative and captivating, making the entire experience unforgettable. Truly, nature's wonderland beneath our feet!
