- Wachirathan Falls - Visit the beautiful Wachirathan waterfall, one of the highlights of Doi Inthanon National Park and the most impressive of all the waterfalls in Chiang Mai. Because of the incredible height, the waterfall creates a mist in the surrounding, making it a picturesque sight. Together with the mossy rocks and emerald water it gives this place a magical atmosphere. There’s a colorful rainbow appearing in front of the waterfall every time the sun is shining through the mist which makes it a very photogenic spot.

During this excursion, we usher you to Doi Inthanon, fondly named the ‘Roof of Thailand’, crowned as the country’s highest peak at an elevation of 2.565 meters. Immerse yourself in a daylong tour, laden with the most spectacular natural scenes surrounding Northern Thailand’s tallest peak. The itinerary includes visiting a striking waterfall, an indigenous hill tribe settlement, the breathtaking twin King and Queen Royal Pagodas and a serene nature trail walk leading to Thailand’s apex.
PLEASE NOTE THAT GROUPS ARE LIMITED TO 10 PARTICIPANTS.
- The Royal Twin Pagodas are a religious site, so dress respectfully. Avoid wearing flip-flops, revealing tops and cover your shoulders and knees.
- We advise to wear proper walking shoes and long pants. During winter time (Nov-Feb) bring a jacket or sweater, since it can be really cool up in the mountains this time of the year.
- Maximum number of participants per group is 10 persons.

Recommended trip to a Thai national park - It was a nice worthwhile day trip. Our guide Jane was great and very friendly. Van ride to/from was comfortable, it is a bit of a ride. Waterfalls were nice and extremely easy to access from the road, really no hike at all. Highest point was fine, the twin temples were the star of the show. Nice views, though some clouds reduced the view a bit.

Fabulous guide - Fabulous day in the mountains with our lovely guide Jane. Very knowledgeable and helpful and lots of fun. The hill tribe village and market were a great way to see how the mountain people live and the views from the twin royal pagodas were stunning. Good family trip. Would recommend if you want a day trip out of Chiang Mai.

Highly recommended full day tour - Our full-day tour of Doi Inthanon National Park was excellent, thanks to our guide, Jane, and our driver, Tem. Jane was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and attentive, sharing interesting insights about Thai history, culture, and daily life. She made sure we saw the best photo spots at every stop. Tem drove smoothly, and the vehicle was very clean, comfortable, and kept at a good temperature, making the journey very pleasant.
The itinerary was well-paced, allowing us to take in the natural beauty of the park. Wachirathan and Mar Klang Falls were stunning, and the Twin Royal Stupas offered impressive views. The Ang Ka Nature Trail was a peaceful walk through lush forest, and reaching Thailand’s highest point was a great experience.
Visiting the Karen village was a nice way to end the day, offering a look into local life and a chance to taste freshly roasted coffee and local teas. The tour was well-organized, and both Jane and Tem made the experience smooth and enjoyable. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

Fun day in the mountains - Our guide Nancy was very knowledgeable and helpful muster we had enough time at each stop to take in the beauty of the waterfalls and the National Park. Overall would recommend this tour if you’re looking to explore the National Park in less than a day.

Great day out with lots to see! - Really enjoyed the day and there were many stops to see interesting things. Guide was great and very knowledgeable. The only thing that let the day down slightly was the choice of restaurant which was not the best.

Skipped out on 1 of the experiences I was excited about, dangerous driver - Much of this was amazing. The Twin Royal Stupas and Wachirathan Falls were incredible to experience and getting to say "I've been to the highest point in Thailand" just sounds cool. The guide lady was incredibly kind.
We skipped out on one of the other water falls and the nature trail was about a 4 minute walk. Had I known that I woulda just scheduled a different tour. Instead we visited 3 different markets that were basically just trying to use this tour as a way to sell us stuff. That was about 40% of the walking around time unfortunately.
But the driver was NOT safe. Alternating between slamming the brake and the gas, riding within feet behind a motorbike driver for an extended time, unable to stay in our lane, if I wasn't in a foreign country with no alternate way home I would have asked to get out mid tour. I've been in many vehicles in Thialand and this one I was legitimately scared.
