Half day trip to elephant sanctuary - An excellent half day trip to see, feed and paddle in the river with the elephants. The elephants on this trip seemed to be well cared for and the guide , Sak? was equally keen on that aspect. He was also knowledgeable about the elephant community in general. Overall a great value for money trip and a good host. We were picked up on time at our hotel.

Jungle hike, elephants and white water raftig - Booked this 3 in one trip expecting the jungle hike to be a meander through the jungle. Wrong! It was crossing bamboo bridges with often nothing to hold on to! Some crossings you had to go sideways because the path/ledge was so small you had to cling on to the rock face! The elephants were fabulous! Learned so much about them and their habits. It was really good to prepare the food we were feeding them before taking them to the river where you could help bathe them. The white water rafting was also terrifying at certain points. One of tourists in our boat was thrown from boat by a ferocious rapid which was absolutely terrifying. Thankfully our guides were really experienced and knew exactly what to do! All in all a fabulous experience. Would we do it again knowing what we know now? No! We are 63 and 65 and although we completed it all it was sometimes absolutely terrifying. You do have to be of a certain fitness level and I don't think it's for the faint hearted as for me there was too many risks. Am I glad I done it? Definitely!

Tour encompasses it all! - I enjoyed this tour a lot! We got to hike to see a waterfall, prepare food and feed the elephants, and river raft. I’d recommend chacos or a similar shoe that you can hike in and get wet that won’t fall off. They provide clothing to put on over yours to participate in the elephant activities which was nice otherwise all your clothes would be incredibly muddy and dirty. Since I went during the dry season I wish I would have done the sticky waterfall option instead of the river rafting, although I still had a great time rafting. The lunch was nice as well; we had pad Thai!

Review - A-K was a great host and was very passionate teaching us about various things. Overall amazing experience. Hike was not that rough as people said, visiting the elephants was amazing and they seem to take great care of them. Rafting was also so much fun!

Half day Elephant adventure. - My husband and I came to Thailand to celebrate our Anniversary. We both wanted to see the Elephant sanctuary. It was really fun and better than we both expected. I can’t believe we were able to interact so closely with the animals. It was quite a car ride to get to but absolutely worth it. If you love animals, you should definitely go! 100% worth it.

Wouldn’t repeat - The tour guide was fine, but the overall experience did not live up to the expectations for the following reasons: 1) No water/coffee/tea provided throughout the day, even though it is said to be part of the package. Only water bottle we got (1 per person) was during the lunch. Being out from 8 am to 6 pm this was the only water we got. Never got coffee or tea, though it was part of the package. 2) Lunch only had ONE option- vegetarian pad Thai with egg. There was nothing else. 3) This is the worst part. We booked a tour to ONLY do the sticky waterfall and the elephant sanctuary. We were under the understanding that after completing these activities, we would head back to the hotel. Instead, we were told that we would only head back AFTER the rest of the group would complete their rafting activity. This meant we would be waiting around for 1 additional hour unnecessarily. Quite misleading. We have been on many tours and when offered multiple options, we head back after the activities are done. Seems like this tour operator is trying to bundle multiple groups, with different itineraries, on the same transportation. This leads to a lot of wasted time. In the morning we were picked up at 8:00 am, earlier than the 8:30 am time on the booking. This was manageable, we thought, but when we picked up the rest of the tour members, we left the city, Enroute to the tour, only at 9:15 am. So 45 minutes of pickups. Reached back at 6:20 PM, as the van had additional guests( more than who we left with) join us on the return. Again, the tour guide was good, and knowledgeable. My complaint is towards the management of the tour. This fell short in the areas mentioned above: transportation, meals, beverages.
