Highlights

Embark on a journey through nature along some of Thailand’s most stunning trails and mountain paths. Gaze over the kingdom from Thailand’s highest point atop Doi Inthanon in Chiang Mai. On our ascent, we’ll visit Wachiritharn Waterfalls, The King and Queen Chedi’s (offering the best views across the park), and then proceed to the peak of Doi Inthanon, the tallest mountain in Thailand. Near the summit, we’ll explore the Ang Ka Nature Trail.

A 1.3-kilometer lightly trafficked out-and-back trail near Mae Chaem features beautiful wildflowers and is suitable for all skill levels. The trail is mainly used for walking and nature trips. Within Doi Inthanon, there are both Karen and Hmong villages, which we will visit at the local market on our way down the mountain before heading back to Chiang Mai.

Doi Inthanon tour - Very good experience. The tour guide was very good. We covered a lot in the day. Lunch was excellent especially for vegetarians. I was expecting sandwiches do it was a nice surprise to have hot food and lots of it. The coffee tasting was fun and interesting. Thank you for a lovely day. The only negative was that it would have been nice to spend more time at the pagodas. Otherwise it was fantastic.

A great experience, highly recommended - This one day tour was totally worth it. Our guide was a young, pretty female (sorry that I forgot her name) who spoke fluent English and was knowledgeable about the history of the locations visited. The driver was a young man who was courteous and a careful driver. All locations on this tour were well planned. There was not a single location that I felt was too long or short nor wasting time. A nice quick Thai food lunch was included. Do bring a rain gear and a light jacket as on the mountain top it got quite cool (15 degree C). Highly recommended.

Great experience - We chose this tour as it was half the price of most others that we saw but seemed to be offering similar things. I would definitely recommend it, as we had a great time. Our favourite spots were the waterfalls (although bring a poncho as you will be soaked) and the Karen village stops. Unfortunately, the weather was awful so we could barely see anything at Doi Inthanon and the Pagodas which was a shame but not the tour's fault. The guides were great, very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful spots, a little too sedentary - This tour was supposed to have a 2 hour nature walk but didn’t. Instead we were mostly shuttled to different parts. We would have liked to know about the nature trail walk being cancelled as this was something we were looking forward to. Otherwise it was a beautiful trip and the stops were very nice. Our guide was fantastic.

The waterfalls were... - The waterfalls were pretty but the toor seemed extremely long and we made multiple extra stops that were unnecessary. If the weather is cloudy you can’t see the temples too. Sad way to spend a day in Thailand and the village we visited seemed really intrusive on the locals
