It holds profound religious significance for many Thai inhabitants and is a popular pilgrimage site. Visitors can ascend the 306-step staircase or take a cable car to reach the pagoda. Indulge in the splendour of the temple, marvel at its Golden Chedi, and soak up remarkable views of the city of Chiang Mai and beyond. Afterwards, proceed to Palad Temple or Wat PhaLat. The temple’s setting, rather than the structure itself, is what’s captivating, with a waterfall, woodland trails, and exceptional city views. Lastly, embark on a downhill trek from Palad Temple to the foot of the Doi Suthep - Pui National Park via the Monk trail, which spans 2 kilometres and takes approximately 45 minutes. (Kindly notify us before your visit if you’d prefer hiking uphill.)
