Additionally, the second and third floors are dedicated to clothing and accessories – most of it’s not of any great quality or style, but at least the prices are low. Going back to the food, look out for authentic northern-style delicacies such as sai oua (spicy sausage), nam prik ong/nam prik noom (red and green chili dip) keap moo (crispy pork skin). The Private Chiang Mai Evening “Street Food” Walking Tour offers an engaging culinary adventure through the lively streets of Chiang Mai. As dusk falls, participants will explore the bustling night markets and experience the diverse flavors of northern Thai cuisine. Guided by a knowledgeable local expert, guests will have the opportunity to taste a wide array of delectable street foods.

The tour follows a path that leads to two evening food markets, where participants can sample a variety of dishes, including kannon jin (Chinese noodles), northern Thai specialties, coconut dumplings, stewed pork leg, and, if there’s room, conclude with some of Thailand’s unique desserts and sweets.

With a small group and an experienced guide, there is ample opportunity to inquire about unfamiliar foods, ingredients, and the proper way to enjoy some of Thailand’s more exotic dishes, as well as to learn about the cultural significance of certain dishes in Thai society.
