Beijing, Tiananmen Square
Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang) - After breakfast, join your guide to explore the iconic imperial treasures of Beijing, China’s vast capital. Stand in Tiananmen Square, one of the world’s largest public squares.
After our tour, you can explore the city at your own pace or opt for an optional excursion to enhance your experience.
Remark: If you do not join our optional tour, you will be dropped off at a location and informed when and where to be picked up to return to the hotel (usually 4-5 hours later). If you prefer not to wait that long, you can take a taxi back to the hotel at your own expense.
Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - Optional tour: Forbidden City Tour
Enter through the grand walls of the palace complex, once the domain of the Ming Dynasty, for an exclusive tour of its courtyards and lanes. This area was considered divine by the emperor, with entry restricted to the imperial family and their court, hence the name, the Forbidden City. Today, it welcomes around 14 million visitors annually and houses the National Palace Museum, one of China’s most comprehensive museums.

Beijing, Great Wall and Jade Carving Workshop
Juyong Pass of Great Wall - Today’s highlight is a visit to the Great Wall of China, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will tour the Juyongguan section, one of the three most famous passes along the Great Wall, located 60km from downtown Beijing. This stronghold once protected the northern access routes to the city. Here, you’ll have the chance to climb a portion of this architectural marvel, which stretches an astonishing 21,000km. On our way back to the city, we’ll visit one of China’s largest jade exhibitions and learn about this precious stone.
Upon returning to Beijing, the rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure or join one of our optional excursions.
Hutong Tour - Optional tour: Hutong Life Tour
This tour takes you through the intricate winding hutongs to admire the old courtyards, which remain as they were long ago. You are invited to visit a local family’s house to experience authentic Beijing life.

Beijing, Temple of Heaven, Chinese Herbal Institute, Bullet Train to Wuxi
Temple of Heaven - After breakfast, we will visit a Chinese herbal institute to learn about traditional Chinese medicine. Later, we will visit the Temple of Heaven, considered the most holy of Beijing’s imperial temples and described as “a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design.” Morning is the best time to visit, as you can watch locals doing morning exercises like dancing, walking, tai chi, or playing games as you walk to the temple.
In the afternoon, we will board a bullet train to Wuxi. China’s bullet train network is the most expansive in the world, and you’ll travel to Wuxi at speeds up to 300km/h. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by our local representative and taken to your hotel to relax, explore, or spend time with new friends.

The Lingering Garden - The classical Lingering Garden is one of more than 60 gardens in Suzhou, a city recognized for having the most UNESCO World Heritage gardens in the world.
Hangzhou, West Lake, Tea Plantation, Bus to Shanghai
West Lake (Xi Hu) - Hangzhou, also known as ‘Paradise on Earth,’ has been immortalized by countless poets and artists. The most renowned feature here is the West Lake Cultural Landscape of Hangzhou, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
After visiting West Lake, we’ll continue to tea plantations to taste Dragon Well tea, also known as Longjing, a sought-after local green tea. Green tea is said to be great for health and wellbeing, packed with antioxidants. Today, you’ll learn more about China’s tea culture.
Following lunch, we’ll drive to Shanghai on China’s central coast. This evening, you can glimpse Shanghai’s dazzling skyline by joining the optional Huangpu River Cruise.
Huangpu River Cruise - Optional tour: Huangpu River Cruise
Shanghai, a city that never sleeps, is beautiful by day and magnificent at night. When night falls, enjoy the shining lights while cruising on the Huangpu River, which separates the city into two parts. On the west side, admire the old skyline with the Gallery of World Architecture as the backdrop; on the east side, the Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone with its new skyscrapers offers enchanting views with the dreamy colors of Shanghai.
Shanghai, Bund
The Bund (Wai Tan) - Spend a full day in Shanghai, a city of 26 million people and a major global financial hub. After breakfast, we’ll visit the Bund, a famous waterfront area lined with colonial European architecture. The Bund is a prime example of Western influences from a bygone era and is now called the ‘Wall Street of the East.’ After our tour, the rest of the day is yours to relax or join one of our optional tours and activities.
Lujiazui - Optional tour: Shanghai Insight Tour
This tour takes you to the Lujiazui Financial & Trade zone, home to the Jinmao Tower. With 88 stories reaching a height of 420.5 meters and a construction area of 290,000 square meters, Jinmao means “Gold Luxuriance Building” in Chinese. Here, you’ll find a perfect blend of traditional Chinese architectural style and modern technology. We’ll also visit Xi’tian’di, a famous site in Shanghai known for its historical and cultural significance, attracting visitors from around the globe.
Shanghai Circus World - Optional tour: Shanghai Chinese Acrobatic Show
