Must-do food tour in Chania! - Our guide, Christos, was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, the food, and the history. He was very kind, engaging, and answered all of the questions. My friends and I did the morning tour and we learned a lot about the local cuisine while sampling (generous portions!) sweets and savory items, Greek coffee, and various herbs and olive oils. Highly recommend!!

Christos Shares His Love for Chania and All of Crete! - Christos is an incredibly knowledgeable and passionate tour guide. He generously shares with each tourist his knowledge, so that at the end of the walking food tour you understand why Chania is so special. As we walked, we learned about the history of Chania and Crete. We went to Christos's special places for sweets, coffee, gyros, herbs and teas for health, and spices for cooking, We also had a delicious sampling of a few of Crete's incredible variety of cheeses. We visited a wonderful leather goods store and knife store, that we had asked about. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything during the tour, but believe me, you will want to. Christos is a master story teller, weaving together history, geography, cuisine, and personal anecdotes. By the end of the tour our group was well fed and well educated. During the rest of our stay in Chania, we went to a few of the restaurants that Christos had recommended and they were fabulous! We also asked him lots of questions about which villages to visit so we could explore Crete's wonderful wines and olive oil. Christos is a treasure, a tour guide that makes you see Crete through his eyes. We look forward to touring with him again Ta Leme Syntoma, Christos

Fabulous Day at Elefanisi Beach - Marcos did an amazing job driving the bus and getting us everywhere we needed to be on time and safely. Ingrid was a fantastic guide. She was professional, knowledgeable, and gave just the right amount of information. We enjoyed stopping at the store that had information about their bees. We were able to taste their honeys and I bought their beeswax salve with olive oil which was great for skin after a day at the beach. We enjoyed the drive to the southwestern coast. The mountains are captivating. Ingrid not only explained the topography but she also shared about the local crops of olives and chestnuts, even how the aquifer is refilled from the snow from the mountain tops. This was a perfect time to go to Elefanisi Beach. It wasn't crowded and we were easily able to get two chairs. Yes, the sand is really pink from the coral from Africa. It depends a bit on the action of the waves and the light. But if you go for a walk and watch the waves and the shallow sand you will be able to see pink bits of coral. It's a very nice area, with shallow water and lots of little coves to explore. On the way back we stopped at the small village of Elos and we were able to have a late lunch at a wonderful local taverna. Make sure if you can to go to the bakery and try their cookies and sweetbreads. Everything was delicious there. We were the last stop to be dropped off but it was a lovely day and we appreciated the great job that Ingrid and Marcos did!

This is tour is not to be missed! - I cannot recommend this tour enough. Christos is a wonderful, knowledgeable guide. The food was amazing and provided a wonderful overview of Crete’s food. We also visited an herb shop. There was zero pressure to buy anything. The owner was kind and provided an overview of various herbs, teas and herbal/spice blends. Christos also took us through part of Old Town including some off the beaten track spots. He followed up the tour with an email of all the places we visited as well as his recommendations for restaurants. If you miss this tour, you are missing out.
