Perspective shift. - I learned so much from our tour guide, she was incredible. Culture, history, current events, art, literature, she brought all of it together in one beautiful cohesive tapestry that I walked away from the day with a new view of the world around me. Thank you so much for the experience.

Magnificent tour - My family and I booked a tour with Snami travel for a mythical tour of Crete. Our tour guide was Alex and we had Aristotle as our driver Our driver was very warm and friendly. He did not speak much English but there was always a smile on his face and he was always happy to help or invite us to have some of his raki. I spent 4 days in Crete and drank way too much raki. The interesting thing is the drivers home made raki was probably the best raki I’ve had. The smell is a lot stronger than it is. After each shot you feel a warmth but there is absolutely no hangover or headache! Alex is such an amazing story teller. He was very fun, engaging, and thoughtful throughout the whole trip. Our family composed of 9 individuals whom ages ranged from 22 months to 70 years old. He made sure that everyone was happy, engaged, and comfortable throughout the whole trip. We learned about about the North and west side of Crete on our first day. We enjoyed his guidance so much that I asked if I could book another tour with Alex and our driver. Alex did a custom tour for us for the southern part of Crete. After spending two full days with Alex and Aristotle, I learned so much about the culture of Crete that I would not be able to find elsewhere. Crete is a beautiful island that can itself be its own country. Its history and culture is so unique and rich. The strategic location of Crete made it a blessing and a curse for how much triumph and conquers there has been. You can appreciate its history through the taste of their food. They have traditionally Greek food (meats/seafood with lots of oregano and thyme) yet with Turkish influences (cloves). The uniqueness of their cheese (made with goat). The romantic and beautiful scenary. The crazy myths that can be told of every rock formation. The charm of having a church in the middle of a gorge on a mountain. A island where you have the Mediterranean and the African weather. You will only find this in Crete. Alex showed me all of this. You won’t regret booking with Snami and having them shown you true Cretan hospitality and beauty that you and I would not be able to find on our own. Thank you for the wonderful trip

Wonderful day - We had wonderful day and the 3 children were engaged and interested the whole Time. Our guide was wonderful and knowledgeable and so kind when we had a medical situation which required extra time and attention. They went out of their way to make sure we didn’t miss anything despite an unavoidable delay. The private lunch was wonderful and the best food we had on our entire stay in Crete. We loved it

Amazing day, we learned so much - This was easily the best day of our Greek vacation. Ioanna is a masterful teacher and story teller. She didn’t just give us a tour of the most important archeological sites in Crete but imparted PhD level knowledge of Greek mythology, the history of Crete and the foundations of ancient civilization. All this while managing to engage and delight our teens and preteen on a very long road trip. The kids even got their hands dirty modeling clay in a traditional potters shop. Our driver, Anastasia, was also incredibly kind, flexible and accommodating. We couldn’t have asked for a better day!

A fantastic guide/driver. - Our guide/driver Dimitrios Roukounakis was absolutely wonderful. From the time he picked us up to the moment he dropped us off he treated us like family. He was knowledgeable and even when our ship changed its all aboard time last minute, he ensured he got to the destination and back with just enough time to try the local foods in the port area. The vehicle was brand new, and extremely comfortable and spacious. Leather seats, lots of leg room! He stopped for coffee and restrooms anytime we asked. Knossos palace was beautiful and mind blowing. Well worth the money and drive. Thanks Dimitrios for making this a memorable experience!

Magical Mythical Tour! - This was a fantastic tour! There’s no way we would have seen as much in one day, if we had not taken this tour! Highlights include; Cave of Zeus, Knossos Palace, Pottery workshop and craft shop, Lunch in traditional Greek restaurant, 2000 year old Sycamore tree & visit to a Cretan church. Our tour guide and driver Alexander was so informative & knowledgable. He had a brilliant sense of humour and had us in stitches for the journey! The car journey was so pleasant and he made our day so enjoyable. Our private guide of Knossos, Maria was an expert in Greek history & mythology. My daughters were fascinated by her tales of Greek mythology eg Icarus & Daedalus, The Minotaur, Zeus. “Mythical Escape” is money well spent & I cannot recommend it highly enough! Thank you!

Great experience with knowledgeable guide and driver - Wonderful day in Crete. Highly recommend. Great history of Crete and beginnings of Europe. Very comfortable but be prepared to walk.

Tour that is full of interesting sights - High end tour with a wonderful guide (Christina) and driver (Manos). They were kind and very knowledgeable about their beautiful island, history and culture. Great photo ops. The vehicle was immaculate, luxurious and comfortable. Would definitely use them again.

Great Experience - We had a great experience with the Knossos Palace and Zeus Cave tour. Alexander was our guide. He has a pleasant personality and is very knowledgeable regarding Crete history. During our visit of Knossos Palace we were guided by Maria who was also very pleasant and knowledgeable. The restaurant near Zeus cave suggested to us for lunch served tasty food combined with an amazing view. The communication with the agency was perfect and it was no issue to shift the date of the experience due to bad weather on the originally booked day (however, I expect this would be more difficult during the main season). The tour is certainly worth the money and especially in these times a private tour feels more comfortable compared to large group events. There was no discussion for Alexander and us to always wear our masks while in the car together which was much appreciated considering that not all drivers or waiters on Crete wear their masks all the time. In total this was a highly recommendable experience we would certainly book again during our next visit to Crete.

A trip where you experience all beauties of Crete - This was one of our best options during the stay on the island. On this trip we explored and experienced the best highlights of the island. Also we were happy to be able to add a lot of customization during the trip with Dimitris. We recommend this for those who seek private and quality tours!
