A great tour guide makes all the difference - If you have ever been on a tour you will know what I mean when I say the tour guide can make or break a tour. In the case of touring with Dimitri, he added so much to the experience for us that I had to write a review. Without question, I recommend this tour. It allows for a more complete picture of Crete. The views along the drive and the stops were fantastic. While Dimitri explains the culture, he describes real life in a way that is very helpful to peek in to living there and loving your home town. Dimitri was more than accommodating when we wanted to linger on the beach for longer than planned. He always pointed out the best views and places to take photos. It is always nice when you can leave a tour thoroughly pleased by the experience, but it is really nice when you have also made friends with your tour guide.

October Beach Adventure In Good Company - Had a beautiful, peaceful October beach day with Dimitris showing me all the sites! We started off with freddo espresso & treats and I enjoyed the drive, views, and conversation. The beach was less crowded off season - exactly how I like it! The pink sand is magical. Dimitris was very attentive and absolutely lovely, really enjoyed spending the day with him on my last day in Greece! Thanks for the memories!

Memorable day at Elafonissi beach with our driver Dimitri - The tour operator was extremely accommodating and communicative as I changed the time of pick up twice. As Dimitri our driver did not hear from me to confirm he called several time to confirm insure pickup time was correct.
We were picked up in a Land Rover Discovery SUV that was extremely comfortable.
Dimitri was always respectful taking cues as to how whether we wanted conversation or not. As we like to get to know the locals were happy to have conversation and we learned much from Dimitri who was extremely funny about the local
culture, traditions and topography.
We stopped at a breathtaking gorge to take pictures and we were supposed to stop at the Agora Sophia however since I had a fear of heights we decided to pass and he did not push. He also made sure to point out anything he thought we would be interested in. While the roads were narrow and windy next cliff drops we did not feel unsafe as we felt Dimitri knew the roads well.
The drive to and from Elafonissi beach was so gorgeous and of course the beach itself did not disappoint. There truly is pink sand. Be ready to pay 1 euro to use the bathroom but it was well
worth the price as they are extremely CLEAN!!!
Dimitri gave us ample time to enjoy the beach and was waiting patiently for us when we arrived back from the walk from. the beach.
On the way back, We ate at Elos village which was good and fresh. Dimitri recommending popular local foods. at the end of the meal the proprietors came with the traditional alcoholic beverage you drink as a shot, chestnut liqueur , grapes, and chestnuts (my favorite).
Overall, a wonderfully, memorable relaxing day at Elafonissi beach that’s to not only the gorgeous sites but Dimitri’s pleasant and affable demeanor. I highly recommend both Dimitri and the tour operator.

A must do/see! - Wonderful day driving to Elafonisi beach. Driver Dimitri was amazing! He was personable and knowledgable - great guy! Made a long trip (that could have been boring) enjoyable! Highly recommend Dimitri!!

Amazing Crete visit with Nikos & Snami Travel. - We had an amazing adventure with Nikos as our guide. He was prompt in picking up our family of 8 at the dock. We entrusted his expertise with planning an itinerary after our visit to Elafonisi Beach. He treated us to fruit from the beach stand and arranged for umbrellas and lounge chairs with his Elafonisi contact. Nikos suggested lunch in Elos village, where he took us to a charming eatery where we enjoyed delicious Greek fare. Nikos also treated my wife and I to a complimentary anniversary dessert as well as Tentura, a spiced liqueur from Patras, Greece. He then dropped us off in old town Chania for a leisurely visit before taking us back to our ship. He engaged with our 3 grandchildren ages 8,7 & 5, and gave us a historic, cultural and geographical perspective during the multiple drives. Highly recommend Nikos and Snami Travel!

Great - The tour was great. Beach is beautiful. Our guide Nicholas was very prompt, knowledgeable and kind. He set us for a very nice lunch place and got us some fruits to eat on the beach. We learned about the history of Crete on our way and back from the beach. I will recommend this tour highly

Wonderful Excursion to the Elafonisi Region - Wonderful day trip to Elafonisi Beach, Golden Step Monastery, Cave of Agia Sofia and a village tavern for lunch. The sites were magnificent to experience. Our guide Nikos was truly outstanding and shared his deep knowledge of Cretan history which made the trip even more enjoyable. A first rate trip that we highly recommend.

Request Nicholas (Guy in white shirt)! We had the best day!!! - We had an amazing day! Absolutely has been the best day of our holiday all thanks to Nicholas! The destinations, the recommendations and the history of Crete were incredible and we loved every second of it! The pink beach, the gorge, the monastery, lunch and the cave of wisdom of god were amazing and we recommend this experience and Nicholas to anyone visiting Crete. Request Nicholas, he was amazing and we owe the day going so amazingly, all to him!

Excellent day at the beach (and to & from) - This was an amazing tour. The main goal was the beach and with the distance we had to go, we wanted to maximize the experience.
Nikos was an excellent tour guide, flexible to our needs and expectations. Very knowledgeable.
After the long day traveling back and forth to the beach, we had a new friend, not just a tour guide.
The beach and the trip there and back lived up to and exceeded all expectations. Learning about the history of Crete and seeing the beautiful countryside. The beach lives up to the expectation as being one of the top 5 beaches in the world.
If you are going to make the effort of going to the beach, I can highly recommend this excursion!!
