Great place that has everything - good food, amazing views, history and architecture. - It was a perfect place to experience a bit of "old and traditional Greece". We only had a couple of hours here, as did not have enough time. But we would love to come back again and admire the view, take a stroll on the promenade, eat in one of the wonderful restaurants and generally enjoy the atmoshere.

5* beginning to end - This tour operator is an excellent communicator, and he delivers This tour was the best of our two weeks in the Mediterranean. Our driver, George, was careful and caring. An immaculate vehicle with cold water and comfortable seats. Pick up and drop off steps from our ship. Our guide, Tatiana, was engaging, informative, and responsive to our questions and desires. The entire day was a deep dive into Crete's history, customs, and environment. Seven hours of fun, factual information, and gorgeous scenery. We felt a bond with every aspect of Crete. Do not miss this one!

Lovely day in Chania! - Chris, the guide, and the driver met us at the dock with a comfortable 8 seater van. Chris was knowledgeable about the history and the archeological sights and shared loads of information. We had a nice mix of both history and shopping so all interests were met. There is flexibility in the tour so if there is something special that you want to see, it can be accommodated. It was a lovely day!

Stroll & Dinner at Hania - Nice little town with an old port and ruins by the sea. We strolled in the old village and bought souvenirs then ate dinner. We had to go back to our Villa 2hrs drive before dark so we didn't have time to enjoy the evening there. It's nice to stop by for a few hours or spend a day or two in it.

A place worth visiting, but not worth visiting during the season (May to November). - A very contradictory place, but one should definitely have entered once when visiting Crete. Undoubtedly: Standing on the shores of the Venetian port, you can see a fantastic ensemble of buildings of different types and styles. But there are already contradictions here. Because if you don't make your visit very early, you'll have problems with people. Delivery vehicles are already on the way at the early morning, driving pedestrians away in a rather impetuous and reckless manner. The owners and servants of the countless dining establishments, who are approaching with a little delay, in turn help to make a contemplative view of the Venetian port completely impossible. However, an escape to one of the numerous narrow streets that form a very interesting labyrinth of large scale here does not solve the problem either. Because: Here too, numerous people are already present, some of whom even deliver sluggish objects for the innkeepers on the shore. During the morning, streams of tourists and also the people living here ensure that chaotic conditions stop in this old town. The latter then last into the night. What is particularly annoying here is that tugboats slow down the passing people in front of their restaurants, causing traffic jams. It is also worth mentioning that people who know how to use this narrowness in the old town for themselves also operate in these crowds. We were here for the first time in 1975 and have noticed a worrying development since 2000. Conclusion: Xaniá is the classic case of overtourism and a place we will not visit again between June and September.

Would not recommend. - Would not recommend. Guide was very knowledgeable but not personable and difficult to understand. My children were very bored the entire time and he did not even attempt to engage them. We had way too much time in the old town portion of the tour and he just walked us around in circles.
