A wonderful day trip with an excellent guide - We had a wonderful day visiting the Vincente Fernandez ranch, Chapala, and Ajijic with our excellent guide, Sergio Novia. The van transportation was comfortable and modern, and everything ran according to schedule. There were no unwanted detours for tequila tasting or souvenir shopping. The group was small and Sergio made us all feel included, deftly switch from Spanish to English and back as needed. Sergio was the most attentive, informative, friendly, and energetic guide you could ask for. He took excellent care of our group every step of the way, and provided interesting context for everything we saw. As an added bonus, he took photos that he shared with us during the tour—including drone footage!! Highly recommend!

Sergio ‘Novio’ was very knowledgeable - Excellent experience with tour guide Sergio ‘Novio’. His knowledge was extensive and his English was excellent. It was only the 2 of us on the tour and we were excellently catered to. The meal at the Iguana restaurant was very good (order the shrimp ceviche). Sergio knew quite a few business managers and locals in the visited towns. If you can specifically book with Sergio, I highly recommend it!

This tour was a really... - This tour was a really enjoyable experience. I was the only English speaker and the tour guide, Carmen, made sure I was informed of everything in English. Carmen provided history of the locations we visited during the bus ride. Once we got to each destination we were given time to explore on our own. The bus was comfortable, clean and air conditioned.

Best Value - Carmen our tourist guide was amazing! Very knowledgeable and easy going! Best value for the price! If we could make a suggestion, the agency could do a little better and select a better eating spot…

Good, reasonably priced tour - Very comfortable journey by van to Chapala and Ajijic. The price is reasonable given both locations take some time to reach by car. The lunch spot wasn't great and isolated on a highway, so there aren't any alternatives. It also ends up being around 3pm by the time you get there. It would be better if the tour spent longer in Ajijic and everyone could buy there own lunch there, given there are lots of great cafes and restaurants in that area.

Overrated Tour - Sergio Novia was wonderful. He picked us up at our address and this service was very much appreciated. When first arriving in a city it is difficult for non-speaking Spanish tourists to find a way around. Sergio was full of interesting facts and had a great sense of humour. We were disappointed he was not our tour guide but dropped us off at an OXXO to be picked up by Miguel, the driver, and Norberto, our guide. The bus was comfortable and clean. Norberto had, that seemed to us, the time consuming task of translating from Spanish to English and vice-versa during the entire tour. He was fun and enthusiastic and though impressive, it seemed like neither group (English or Spanish) got the full descriptions/translations. Our first stop was at Los 3 Potrillos. The Spanish speaking audience thought this very enjoyable. For us, we felt that this stop was an unexpected event that took up the first hour and half of the tour. It was never mentioned on the itinerary. The stop at Chapala gave us time to walk around and have a look at the lake and church. From there we reached Ajijic. Norberto guided us through Ajijic and showed us the plaza, the church, the malecón and a very interesting wall by Efren Gonzales who created the Muro de los Muertos. We didn't have any free time to explore Ajijic, look at shops or art. We boarded the bus and left for a disappointing lunch, not in the town centre but were taken to a restaurant on the highway. People were hungry as it was now about 3:00. After our late lunch, Miguel was most anxious to end the day and we had a speedy ride back. It was not mentioned that we would not be dropped at our location. Thankfully, our location was not far away from our drop off point. A tour participant who was not dropped off where she was picked up said, "Where am I?" Overall, Norberto was a good guide but if your main interest was to see the town of Chapala and Ajijic, then you may be disappointed.
