The Magnolia Plantation tour offers a comprehensive experience of America’s oldest botanical gardens. Visitors can enjoy a range of tours at Magnolia Plantation, including a guided house tour, a nature train ride through the gardens and grounds, and a guided “Slavery to Freedom” tour. Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to explore the gift shop and wander the grounds at their leisure.
Sightings of alligators and peacocks are common. Transportation is conveniently provided to and from Charleston and Magnolia Plantation in our spacious and luxurious Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van. Chicora Tours is proud to be the only tour operator in Charleston offering this unique Magnolia Plantation tour.

The Charleston Visitors Center is located at 375 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC. There is paid parking onsite and paid parking garages in walking distance. We pick-up all guests on the bus shed side of the Charleston Visitors Center where all the tour busses are located.

Outstanding Tour and Ride! - We loved the tour of Magnolia! We visited the nature reserve, enjoyed the tour of the historic Magnolia home and also the tour the "from Slavery to Freedom". All tours were very informative!
The ride to and from the plantation was fantastic.
We would highly recommended this tour!

Best Touring Company in Charleston! - Beyond impressed with Chicora Tours! My daughter and I wanted to see the Magnolia Plantation and Gardens but got overwhelmed trying to figure out the many tour options on the massive property. One click and Chicora Tours took care of everything! Darian came and picked us up in a beautiful Mercedes Benz Sprinter Van right by our hotel and provided us wonderful knowledge and wisdom about Charleston on the drive. Then when we arrived she gave us tickets to all the tours with times along with tips about the site. The day was perfectly planned by Chicora even including a time to grab a bite to eat at the cafe. Finally, Darian drove us back to our hotel with more interesting facts about Charleston. I cannot thank her enough; she honestly taught us more about Charleston than the previous tour guides we had on the day before on our walking tours! Also a shout out to Nick the owner of Chicora Tours who was quick to answer my many questions I emailed him. Hands down this is the best tour company in Charleston and the only one I will be using from here on out! Thanh you Darian and Nick! ❤️

Beautiful, historic and sobering - Wow, what a beautiful place. We did the slavery tour and tram tour. The young lady doing the slavery tour was excellent and you could tell she was passionate about the topic and the Plantation. John did our tram tour. His charming Irish accent and knowledge were great! There was a young lady in the house gift shop that was extremely helpful and all the staff was friendly. The grounds were beautiful and we didn't even scratch the surface. We saw a wedding getting ready to start and an engagement. We also saw an alligator and several kinds of birds. Recommend. Make sure you buy tickets ahead of time to save $3.

Fun tour to Magnolia Plantation - Lovely site and our driver, Danian, was very friendly and knowledgeable! The ride was scenic and the vehicle was very comfortable. Highly recommended

Magnolia Plantation - My sister and I had a fantastic time. We really liked our driver who got us to and from the plantation. The bus depot for pickup was being utilized for another event and she hadn't been told. She was fantastic. She came and picked us up where we were and then drove us back to where we stayed. I really enjoyed her.

We booked the Magnolia... - We booked the Magnolia Plantation tour with Chicora Tours. We had a little hiccup once we arrived at the plantation (they had all of us on one ticket even though we were separate groups), however, Chicora and the folks at Magnolia quickly got us separate tickets while we were on the first tour and had them ready for us as soon as we were done with the Nature Train Tour. They made sure to accommodate us (shout out to Matt and Dawn [I think that was her name] at Magnolia). Additionally Nick, the owner of Chicora, took the time to pick us up for our return to Charleston. It was so refreshing to see a young owner of a company take the time and initiative to make sure his customers were satisfied! He was courteous and professional and I would HIGHLY recommend booking with Chicora Tours to anyone visiting Charleston!

Tour of Magnolia was great - I believe if we were able to hear the complete presentation of the the slavery to freedom that would’ve been the highlight but unfortunately due to either Viator or Magnolia’s tour time mismanagement we were unable to hear it to the end (a 12:45 garden tour then a 2pm house tour) the freedom talk was at 1:20(which we were not informed of) wasn’t physically possible to attend all - our tour was supposedly to 4-5hrs with pickup and dropped off !
Our subcontractor(driver) Darian was awesome 🤩 subcontractor-Chicora was wonderful.

Too late - This is a transportation company. They drop you off and give you a ticket for the tour. That’s it. The driver got us there late so we had to join a group already underway. No apology. Go yourself if you can.

Disappointment; tour package of questionable value - House tour held an interesting history BUT built post civil war. Highlight was the slavery to freedom presentation. Ubers available to/ from downtown are reasonably priced.
