Highlights
  • Morris Island Lighthouse - We will walk a short, interesting road to the end of this island to get a beautiful vista of Charleston Harbor and the 6th oldest lighthouse in the US. The walks is 1/4 mile, and does include some beach and sand.
  • Folly Beach Fishing Pier - Once the amusement park Mecca of the 50’s, Folly Pier is the focal point of this beach surf town, with many tourist activities. A souvenir and rest room stop also.
  • The Citadel - We will take a drive around this photogenic, famed military campus and stop for a few Snap! Shots.
  • Fort Moultrie - The history of the colonial United States lies at this tour stop. Thousands and thousands of imported African slaves stopped here in quarantine houses during the forced trek to North America. The first naval battle of the Revolution, the first shots of the Civil and the most tranquil beach spot in Charleston – is all here. If time permits, we will visit the National Park visitor center.
  • Sullivan’s Island Lighthouse - We will stop and see the ugliest lighthouse in the US.

Get out of town!!! Was definitely the way to see Folly and Sullivan’s Island, Fort Moultrie, Citadel College!!! - LeeAnn was above and beyond a typical tour guide. She drove us around for 4 hours filling us with lots of history and taking photos of us along the way. She was a true delight. And added in a few extra attractions that were not on the itinerary.

We very much enjoyed... - We very much enjoyed seeing the out of the way spots and popular places that are blended into this adventure. The ride was informative, comfortable and overall enjoyable. I think this could be an all day adventure instead of half a day since there is just so much to take in but it was absolutely worth it and we would definitely do it again.
