Additional Information

Join us out on the water for sunrise, sunset, or somewhere in between in a search for our favorite saltwater mammal – the bottlenose dolphin. On this trip, we will cruise through the local tidal creeks behind Folly Beach to see how many of these amazing creatures we can spot. From a distance, you will get to experience the unique feeding techniques and socializing behaviors that our dolphins display out in the wild. Along the way, your experienced guide will teach you all about the natural wonders of our salt marsh and Estuary. You will also get to pass by the historic Morris Island Lighthouse during the trip, a great photo opportunity! At Castaway we offer smaller, more personable tours with one goal in mind - to provide all of our customers with a true Lowcountry experience while you are here in Charleston with hopes that you will see all of the natural beauty that our waters have to offer.

Amazing property - Unbelievable place. Very secluded, but still steps away from beach. Seemed like miles of trails to explore. Saw deer and dolphins everyday. Our two girls (4 and 6) loved it. We would definitely return.

Highly recommend! - Excellent excursion. Well worth the time and money. Highly recommend. We really got a great feel for the Charleston estuary system. Learned so much about this place. Luke is highly knowledgeable -- and fun! Also, we saw many bottle nose dolphins, including four newborns and a one-month old! I would love to come back at our next trip 😀

Amazing private dolphin tour! Seen over 35 dolphins and got to met the two baby dolphins born to Folly Beach this year! - The views, boat ride, experience, atmosphere, and vibes Captain Luke and Hailey incorporate in the over 35 dolphin encounters we had were amazing! We will be coming back next getaway trip! We even had the chance to see two baby dolphins. My 3 year old loved it too and Captain Luke.

Almost perfect! - The dolphin sightings were a bit underwhelming, but our captain did his best for us to see a few (dolphins fault!). Our captain was very entertaining and informative, which we enjoyed. Small group was definitely a plus - would for sure do this again. Would have been perfect with more dolphins!
