Additional Information
On this tour, the boat ride through Folly Beach’s most pristine marshlands is a must do and an adventure in itself. Along the way, your captain will teach you about our local estuary and the wildlife that inhabit it while you get to see them up close, including bottlenose dolphins. Once at Morris Island you will be able to enjoy a quiet beach, look for the various sea shells and sand dollars that scatter the area, take in the stunning views of the lighthouse and maybe come across a shark’s tooth! You will get to explore the island for approximately 1 hour before getting back on the boat.
This tour can be enjoyed by the whole family and is the ultimate saltwater experience in Charleston!

Our office is in the same parking lot as Crosby's Fish & Shrimp Co. It is a small yellow building with Castaway signage - can't miss us! Make sure to come in the office before your trips departure time to check in and sign liability waivers.

Highly recommend. - I highly recommend the Folly Beach Eco Boat Excursion and Morris Island Drop Off by Castaway Island Excursions. We had a great time with the family! Our guide, Luke, was very knowledgeable and made the trip fun for all of us.

Must Do - Our boat tour was amazing! Luke is so knowledgeable about the area. We saw dolphins, found sand dollars, and had lovely views in every direction. I don’t see how you could visit Folly Beach without a boat tour with Captain Luke!

Excellent experience and must do for locals tourists alike! - We had a fantastic time with Luke on our tour. We were repeat customers and will be back in the future! “It was super fun and very informative” -straight from our teens. This is a great way to get out into the water and learn about a totally different side of the low country. A great mix of ecological information, local history and of course dolphins!

Awesome! - Loved this tour! Captain Luke is witty, knowledgeable and complementary adorable. He shares his passion for the estuary and tips on where to find the best shells in this awesome excursion!
We learned so much ecological history in such a short time. Make sure to ask Luke to show you some of his own rad photographs from his time on the water!

Amazing - We went on a Thursday & we had Captain Luke! We were there with other people from Colorado! He was Amazing! We had such a good time & saw some dolphins Strand feeding! Such an amazing sight! Captain Luke was very informative about that & everything else! All around an amazing experience & I would definitely do it again! Thank you Captain Luke!

Best Tour Captain! - Family of 5! Ages 10, 20, 21 and 40’s. We had a great time with Captain Luke. He made sure to find something for all of us and Morris Island was a ton of fun and so many shells!! He had so much information and history on the area it was a real treat. Loved it!
