Beautiful, knowledgeable tour. A must do while in Charleston. - We moved to the Conway are in SC recently and wanted to learn now about the history of Charleston. Our guide Mark was great. Being a multigenerational local, he was full of knowledge, history and made the tour fun. I loved being able to go down the alleyways to see the beautiful gardens you would not otherwise see from the street.

Great tour, great guide! - Bruce grew up in Charleston and because if this knew many hidden walkways. He could point out houses and tell stories of who lived there.

Most fun walk in the back alleys! - This was a fantastic walk around the historic part of the city, but behind the scenes style. Al was the best guide! Loved getting to walk down alleyways and lanes we would have never seen on our own, and Al was knowledgeable about so many different things! Thanks for such a wonderful time!

Great tour! - Everything was wonderful - Captain Jim, information, pace, and locations. My only complaint was the biting bugs; the alleyways were beautiful but buggy. Absolutely would still recommend, but bring some bug spray.

Knows his stuff! - In spite of us being the only two people on the tour, Cap'n Jim cheerfully guided us through downtown Charleston with the expertise and attention to detail we would expect with a larger group. Cap'n Jim begins with the history of the founding of Charleston and continues to the 20th C. You will learn a lot about the development of trade, commerce and government and the contributions of enslaved people, freedmen, and women which make Charleston unique.

Hidden Alleys Adventure - Interesting stories throughout the talk. The history and anecdotes are fascinating and informative. Also enjoyed our guide, Al’s, demeanor and obvious love of the city. 4 stars given because we got off to a bit of a slow start standing around talking in parking lot going over ground rules, etc. We would have preferred to experience an alley a little sooner.
