- La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Charleston Riverview - Take your kids on a swashbuckling adventure on the 45 foot wooden Black Ghost Pirate Ship! They will be spinning yarns about it for years. With personal Pirate names and once prepped by the Captain, our crew of determined mates cast off into a world of all things pirate!
Your Pirate Adventure Cruise is filled with all things fun! The first 15 minutes is spent getting the little pirates ready with pirate gear (optional) as well as teaching them how to talk like a real pirate crew. Once the crew is ready, we board the ship and head out on the Ashley River to the Wappoo Creek.
- Our pirate adventure cruise is a thrill seeking, high seas, treasure hunting voyage.
- Before setting sail on the Black Ghost every child will be transformed into an official member of the Black Ghost Crew.
- The activity is non-stop with songs to sing, treasure to find and maps to read.
- There is no time for lolligagin! Our fallen pirate, Sneaky Pete, steals the key to our sunken treasure!!! Arrrgh!!! We have to defeat him with our water cannons to get it back!! The good news though is that we always win!

So much fun - This was so much fun for my 8, 6, 3, and 1.5 year olds. They had such a blast and it was worth every penny. Each kid gets a nickname and they do a great job about making each child a highlight throughout your time aboard. We also noted in our reservation that it was our sons birthday and he got extra attention which he loved. 10/10 would recommend.

Get the pirate gear and have a blast!! - Couldn’t recommend this crew enough!! Kids & adults of all ages were engaged & had fun. The crew is in full character the entire time and made sure everyone was included. Don’t pass on the additional gear, it’s used during the excursion and kids fully engage with it.

Very well done - Very personable crew, my kids are shy but still had a blast! Very creative and well thought out. Safe and fun and my kids are still playing treasure hunt a few hours later! Good to support something local!

A MUST family thing to do - Absolutely a spectacular experience. Core memory for my daughter and even the adults as well. We did not stop laughing and smiling. These guys are so great. Turned out to be our favorite thing we did on our visit. The kiddo swag is worth it, don't even hesitate. It makes the magic real.

Run, Don't Walk - I have taken my granchildren to several excursions over the years, this was by far one of our favorites. Took my soon-to-be 4 year old grandson and 3 adults. We all had a blast. Tour was approximately 90 minutes, and there was no down time. There were 10 children ( boys and girls ranging from 3-10?) and everyone of them participated in, locating the treasure, defending the boat from scallywags, swabbing the deck, doing the limbo etc....... Staff was amazing- captain was so engaging and made the timid ones, come out of their shell by establishing trust. By the end everyone was involved in the treasure hunt. Just can't say enough.

Ahoy, Matey! - From beginning to end the children are engaged in activities that are suitable for all ages and abilities.
Even the adults have an enjoyable time.
Upon the conclusion of the Pirate Cruise our boys still insisted being called by their Pirate names. They had the time of their lives.
By far this is one of the best activities we have gone to with our boys.
We highly recommend this Pirate Cruise. Kudos!!!!!

Great experience for all ages - What a great experience! Exceeded our expectations. Primarily did it for our six year old but my teenage kids and my parents enjoyed it as well.

Great adventure - What a great adventure for our grandchildren.....they loved it and we loved watching them!!!! It was almost like a production because the adult pirates did a fantastic job. We will return!!!

Best thing to do with kids in Charleston - We spent 3 weeks traveling the eastern US, visiting water parks, museums and zoos, but this was still the highlight of my 6-year-old's trip. These guys are really good at keeping the kids engaged so parents can relax and enjoy the trip.
