Our guide (on the 8pm tour on 2/16) was excellent! Informative and entertaining.i like that history was incorporated into the tour.

The guide told us a few stories about the past and showed a few pics on his phone but over all was just a boring tour.

Whilst the guide was entertaining. It was more of a sort of history tour than a ghost tour. Some of the stories were just his own, rather dubious, personal feelings about incidents. One of the stories was about a 16yr old who had been poisoned in her wedding day in a church. I called a the church the next day to see the girls’s grave but couldn’t find anything. I spoke to members of the church who had been involved in the church for many years and no-one had ever heard of this story and suggested that it had been made up, which was disappointing

While our tour guide was very nice, she was not prepared to do this tour. She often stumbled over her words and there was confusion on names, dates, and events. I had scheduled this tour as a field trip for our students to learn more about the historical ghost stories of Charleston as inspiration for their upcoming end of the school year informational essay. I should also note that the other half of our tour left about 30 minutes into the tour. My request is that tour guides are prepared. I wouldn't mind if she had note cards or something to reference to provide accuracy with the information and story details. I also understand that everyone has to experience a "first time" and learn and grow. I hope that this is the case for this tour guide.
