Great way to spend the morning and early afternoon - Chef did a great job on the historical tour, and then tying in the meal at the end with foods that he talked about on the tour. He was funny and engaging. His passion for history cooking were very apparent.

The Charm and Flavors of Charleston - Our group of 6 college friends planned a reunion and this was the first event we booked. A delightful history tour followed by small group meal cooked by Chef Forrest along with his entertaining commentary, cooking tips and wine pairings. The meal was creative, delicious and accommodating for vegetarians and allergies. A highlight of our amazing weekend!

Delicious tour - Loved his cooking! Starts with a walk around historic neighborhood, it’ll work your appetite up, but don’t snack around— you’ll want to save room for everything Chef churns out in his kitchen. It is lip smacking finger licking delicious.

Super fun Charleston experience combining history, cooking class, great food and wine. - Great experience. Chef Forrest was a hoot! Interesting stories and the cooking class and lunch was delicious and we had 3 different wines. He's very knowledgable and it was a great 5 hours. Yes, it was 5 hours (not 3 like it's listed).

Cooking class +walking tour=well worth the money! - Definitely the food. It’s was wonderful watching him make it in front of you made you think you can make it yourself. The walking tour had a new perspective on how the food connects to the city of Charleston and the culture, which was fresh and meaningful.

Best way to get some history, food and wine in Charleston - I HIGHLY recommend this experience. Chef Forrest is a wealth of knowledge and the tour started with him leading us around on foot through the historic area of Charleston. He shared so much information and it was all so interesting! This lasted about 2 hours. Then we went to his event area where he prepared one of the best lunches I ever had! He cooked in front of us, going over his techniques and ingredients, and the food was all fantastic! It was also paired nicely with wine. My girlfriends and I had so much with him, and would love to do this again!

A food and history tour of Charleston - We are from North Dakota and have never been to Charleston before. We are so happy we booked a tour with Forrest. As a tour guide, you should be aware that he knows what he's talking about and he does it in a way that is interesting but also funny. As a result, the tour went by extremely quick. Don't leave the tour early either. The meal he prepared at the end was incredible and the best we enjoyed over the week we spent in Charleston. You can tell he has found his calling. He is extremely serious about sharing his love for Charleston and its unique history with everyone he meets. That shows the whole tour. Don't worry about the cost or the amount of time for the tour. We both said it was by far the best investment we made while we were in Charleston.

Great tour - My husband and I took this half day tour. Forrest Parker was a great guide so much information about Charleston and its history. It did not feel like we were on a tour but out having a lovely walk around town with a friendly local. It was not a big group of people which always makes it easier to hear everything. The food was outstanding very simple dishes executed perfectly. So glad we did the tour would definitely recommend.
