This is the Best Food, History and Culture Walking Tour! - If you like small group walking tours that focus on culture and history, where you get stories and great food then this is for you! This was a tour that provided both great history of St. Thomas, and great food and beverages reflecting the island culture. It starts with a Bushwhacker which was fantastic and ends with a rum filled ‘Painkiller!” There were conch fritters, chicken curry (mild and green), a delicious cod quiche and bananas foster for dessert. DeAndre was a knowledgeable, friendly and fun guide. He communicated well in organizing the tour. This is a gentle paced tour, mostly on level sidewalks (tho old cobbled areas). There are stairs at One place that means this would not be for anyone with mobility restrictions. The view and food at the top of those stairs though is worth the climb. Breathtaking view of the island.

A great introduction to St. Thomas - A wonderful 3 hour walking tour filled with delicious local drinks and foods! Our tour guide, Michelle, was fun and extremely knowledgeable! She took us off the beaten path in Charlotte Amalie. As we walked around she gave a history of the island, its people and the local food. She made the entire tour so enjoyable. You like interesting local fare and a sprinkle of history? - 100% recommend.

Twenty something kids loved it. - Our grown children took the tour and really enjoyed it. They came back telling us all about the food and drinks, then when we went into town they shared all the history they learned. They all said they were glad they went.

Loved the culture! - Rocky was great! Very informative and gave us a great variety of restaurants and experiences! Could have done without the tea room just because it didn’t fit with the overall experience but otherwise, very cool!

Steve was informative... - Steve was informative with great stories about the island. The food offerings (and associated restaurants) were incredible and the drinks were spot on for the area. We felt satisfied full with the quantity of food and drink and the quality was top notch!

lackluster experience - Food was sub standard. Very small portions with very little variety. I have done other food tours that were much better.

Flavors of St. Thomas Culinary Tour, via our cruise ship - We booked the "Flavors of St. Thomas Culinary Tour" though the Celebrity Eclipse, for our day in port in St. Thomas. From reading the description of the food tour on the "Flavors of St. Thomas" website, I believe that the cruise ship version of the food tour may have been modified from the version that guests staying on land locally, may experience. Our guide was Deandre, and he was excellent, gave us lots of historical insights, intriguing stories, greatly appreciated, as we walked around the town. We enjoyed our main course at the "758" Restaurant, which is the area code for St. Lucia, representing the owners of this restaurant. Loved the West Indian Chicken Curry served there, flavorful, not spicy, although the portions served to the guests were irregular - ie, one guest had a chicken leg - that's all, just the leg, without the thigh portion - and another had the full thigh - very disparate portions. The cole slaw with raisins was outstanding, though the side of ziti with cheddar cheese left a lot to be desired as the pasta was overcooked. Next stop was "The Tuck Shop" restaurant, for conch fritters and pain killer cocktails. Deandre showed us how to make the cocktails, excellent and good fun! Final stop was for dessert, but this was disappointing, as the shop is owned by a lovely woman who moved from Europe 20 yrs ago to St. Thomas, who has brought her desserts from Europe to St. Thomas - thus, we ate baklava and hazelnut cupcakes. We were, from the tour description we'd received, anticipating "plantains and banana rum flambe" - dishes which as a traveler, are certainly more in keeping with the island spirit than baklava and hazelnut cupcakes. We had to remain in the dessert cafe - no time for shopping. What would have been nice is if after we finished, we'd been given the 30 minutes we had, to have time to walk about the lovely area we were in and meet back at the cafe at a designated time. Shopping opportunities in this dessert cafe were extremely limited and way overpriced. This final stop was very disappointing. But thank you, Deandre, for doing your best!
